You have to go after either Russ Grimm, Norm Chow or whoever has Clevelands offense playing the way they do.

Re: If Gibbs Goes, Who coaches next year?

ima send a blank resume' in and ask for 40k a year to coach... i'll bet i can get at least 6 wins in my first year given the talent on the team and my passion for winning redskins football

that would be a story to make a movie about... let a fan coach for a year and see what happens!

How many reactionary, poorly thought out threads do we need on the same topic?

As many as possible!!!!! My anger is moving from the skins and their heartrending failures to people I've never met on the internet! I am feeling better now, and MUCH more self-righteous!

Gonna be a regular feature around the redskin nation, I'm afraid. You've also given a concise description of the Extremeskins message board--if you think it's bad here, check it out there!

I am in full agreement with your comment, BTW.

If Joe steps down, and if we have a losing record, I think he will, I say let's clean house and bring in some new, young blood. If Joe can salvage this season, I'd be happy to see him and the rest of the codgers back for one more year.

I may be out of left field on this but my vote is for Russ Grimm. He knows how important running off-tackle is. The only problem is that he isn't the "big splash" that Snyder is looking for.

Please step down Joe. It is the right thing to do.

Re: If Gibbs Goes, Who coaches next year?

This team finally has continuity in coaching and personnel, the last thing we need is an overhaul. If Gibbs leaves after this year, that could cause a lot of movement on this coaching staff. I'd prefer to see Gibbs play out his contract - I like the nucleus that he has assembled, and getting Thomas and Jansen back will be like adding two 1st round talents on the O-line. This team might be just one good draft away from competing for the Super Bowl. Let's go with stability for just one more year and see what happens.

Not sure about the SB, just yet, but I agree that stability is a good idea. Let him play it out--there's no quick fix here.

Yeah one more year, then what? What if '08 is a shitty season and then Cowher goes somewhere else in the meantime. You really want to get stuck with GW? Pete Carroll maybe? Gibbs is gone after '08 anyway and the movement you speak of is going to happen regardless. See how Coach handles the rest of the season. If it is a total collapse he needs to step down.

Yeah, how many seasons did it take for Cowher to win a SB?
