i say bring him in. he could easily fill preiolous cover safety spot. at one time was a pretty decent corner.

Re: Troy Vincent available soon....why not?

sign him to a one year deal for less than $1 million

if he gets hurt again, just cut him or put him on IR

we need to replace prioleau for this year...we have nothing to lose by signing him

I am usually one who wants to stay away from these players released by other teams. But, with the uncertainty of springs, the way Arch struggles and Reed still learing, I'd say Vincent is definatly worth the little bit of cash we would have to give up for 10 games. He is due the money from the bills, not who signs him. we owe him what ever prorated portion of OUR offer. He could be a quality pick up, being from buffalo and could step in with our D since he played with Gray last year.

GO GET HIM DANNY!!
yeah, was TV there in 03 when GW coached the bills? If so he could step right in, unless he has lavar's study habits.

I say sign him. He'll add solid depth, which we don't have right now. Yes, it's good Doughty's learning the system, but really, what about when we make it to the playoffs? Do you really want Doughty back there or Troy Vincent, a guy whose been there before? Given last year's injury bug during the playoffs, especially in the secondary, I'd say this would be a smart sign.

It's rumored that the Niners are interested in Vincent too. I would like to sign him to a reasonable 1 or 2 year contract.

I agree, no more old injured players. That's one of our problems now, we're experiencing injuries all over the place and we certainly do not need to bring in any more injuries. Plus this guy would have to learn a new system at this point in the season, and by the time he learned how to play in it the season will be over. We 've got guys here now who have been trying to learn the system since TC and haven't mastered it yet. I just don't possibly see what an impact this guy could make that would be a sufficient upgrade, therefore I pass.

I think Troy Vincent played in G.W.'s system for at least one year before G.W. left.
