How were you talking about combine numbers when Lendale has none? I said picking Lendale (for us) sucked. He is far from filling a need on our team. Is he a good prospect? Of course. So why did he 'fall' into the first round? And why didn't he work out at the combine or at USC's pro day?

The replies went on and on how he ran for 28 TDs and has a USC scoring record. Obviously, I'm not the only one who thinks this guy isn't the '35th best player available'. And he was not even close to being considered by our front office. So there. You would think Lendale was Reggie Bush the love some of you guys are showing for the guy.

We must have wanted this guy bad. I wonder if we tried trading up higher to get Ryans or someone else. Then again that's history.

seriously... i doubt a mid and a very late 3rd rounder make up for that gaff.
WoW...they f*cked up...someone should get fired.

all i have to go on is the three seasons i saw LW play... he's no reggie bush- but Lendale was just as important as Reggie was to USC's offensive success the past three seasons. Without him, we don't control the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma as easily as we did (when the sooners effectively took bush out). Without him we don't move the ball against the Longhorns in the Rose Bowl (who effectively took bush out after the first few series). LW just didn't get the coverage.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

Some people say we need a kicker,
If he is still available i want my boy Conor, he is one of the best kickers out there, best in ACC by far. I hope is still left

gostkowski is better (conor isn't great on kickoffs). none of these kicker are very good compared to the 3 coming out next year.

we could afford to, the super good one may require a 2nd rounder that we don't have quality kickers are just easier to take in as FAs.
