Re: Not Renewing My Season Tic's

Part of the difficulty in getting people to buy tix on a game by game basis, I think, is that, if you wait until the week or even two weeks before a game, people have already made plans. Regardless of where you live, going to a game is a major time commitment. The game itself is over three hours add in travel time and actually getting into and out of the stadium and it is easily five to six hours right in the middle of a Sunday (generally) - and that doesn't include any tailgating time. Factor in that, when you're selling tix, you're usually selling them as a pair so you need two people to make this commitment. Generally, for the time and money being committed, it's not a spur of the moment thing.

Going to a game takes a little bit of a mindset and, again IMO, the Skins fans who are likely to buy tix from stub-hub, etc. are either a) one-timers who want to make sure they are fully prepped for their "game experience" and, thus, plan well in advance; or b) occasional visitors who are familiar with the time commitment and, again, plan in advance.

I find that I have an easier time dumping the a ticket to a friend or on short notice if I am going to the game myself. Generally, in those situations, the person going is a friend who is going as much for our camaraderie as for the game AND that person then doesn't have to find a partner to go in with him/her on the tix. (Yes, I know it's hard to believe but there are people who actually like to spend time with me - shocking but true).

As a practical matter, demand for certain tix may be high but, think about it, other than 2005's run and last year's Dallas game - how often during the year do the Skins have "must see" games.

And that, folks, may be the only time I have ever agreed with irish.

Re: Not Renewing My Season Tic's

Oh - and BTW, I am selling my season tix off on stubhub. For now, we are selling the season, not individual games.

We moved into the lower bowl last year and are somewhere around the 20 yard line, 15 Rows up on the Redskins side.

If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll get the details.
