Re: LOL @ Redskins

Honestly, the most frustrating part of this is that it made me realize how many times the Skins are on the losing side of:

"______________ hasn't been done in NFL history!"
"Well that really turned the season around for player _____________."
"Record setting day for ________________!!!!!"
"Never seen anything like this in my career!"

I assume I'm like everyone else and watch football every Thursday, Sunday and Monday and never in my life have I seen a team where: some kind of record is broken, a rookie has a coming out party or a vet in a slump gets back on track.

The only Redskins NFL records I can think of in recent memory are the least yards gained in a playoff win (Yay.) and the Monday Night Miracle MAYBE. It's just SO GD frustrating. I mean my cynicism is growing to an all-time high... Randy Moss hasn't had that great of a season, maybe this week he gets back on track with 200 yards receiving and 3 TDs?

THAT, and the third down conversion was actually laughable last night. We apparently can run plays of 2-3 yards on the first two downs, but when it comes to third, it's no gain or worse...

Re: LOL @ Redskins

The skins have been whooped bad before. The last two teams to do it were the Patriots and Giants. It happens, I am not going to blow up over this one.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

One good thing about this game is that the finish was not a nail biter.

OMG! You forgot McNabb's record this season of the least completions by a winning QB in the first Philly game.

I mean I bring that up every time someone tries to give me sh*t about McNabb. Shuts them right up.

Someone ought to let him have it today. That was a complete disgrace.

Man you are so spot on here! And it has been that way for so long. If we were to make a list it would be literally unbelievable. I share your frustration.

Brother I'm with you. I told myself I was not going to any message boards. Yet here I am. I'm just soo pissed I'm not sure if I should be only looking at the positives, which really there were hardly any, or slam every one, which would do no good.

Some of my issue's:
1- The team came out flat. Clearly the Eagles came pumped, excited and ready to play. The Redskins not so much. Very lackadaisical. Pathetic.

2- Maybe it's just me but I could have sworn I saw the Eagles holding on the OL if not every play it was almost every other play. Yet the Refs never called any holding calls. To be fair though I saw the Skins holding some also with no calls, but come on At least call the flagrant ones in which the Eagle grabbed the jersey or pulled our player to the ground to keep him from getting to Vick.

3- Part B of #2 is I don't think I've ever seen a game so one sided. I know some if not most of it was our players performance but to me it seemed like a WWF match up and the winner was already predetermined. I know it's difficult to spot a team 21 or 28 points and expect to come back from that but "EVERY" call seemed to go the Eagles way. Avante's catch on the sideline; the ball slips through his hands hits him in the chest slides to his stomach as he's hitting the white chalk line. If the ball is moving it's not a catch. No it's 1st down for them. 1st play of the game Orakpo gets held, the OL is holding his jersey pulling him almost turning him completely around so he can't get to Vick. Whoever #64 was for us (Kedric Golston) was being held by the LT whenever he tried to run around the LT.

AH was getting a good push on the Center, atleast 3-5 yrds, but the RG would help chip AH and AH would look like a weeble wobble but would fall down. Cant' Haslett adjust and send in a LB right after AH gets his initial push to bump the RG prior to the RG chipping AH?

Why did it take us being down 28 points before Haslett decided to change things up and go to the same defense we used with Indy?

Would the ESPN Mon. Night Crew be on McNabbs jock just as much as they were with Vick if the Skins were up 21-0? I had to turn my TV on mute several times and or change the channel cause I got tired of all the Eagles replays and the suck fest for Vick.

I could go on and on but I'd just sound like a poor sport. In the end the Skins played horrid. No excitement. I think the Eagles figured out quick enough get ahead early cause if not the Skins will come back. The Skins gave too much of a lead and couldn't come back.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

On a shorter note; People wanting to can Haslett.... why? This team has been in the whole for 10+ yrs. This team needs to get the right personel to run the 3-4 before we simply say it's not working.

Shocking news to me though was hearing Fri. that M.Shanahan is not in the offensive game planning. He leaves it to his son. I thought we bought into the M.Shanahan offense or combo not the Kyle Shanahan offense alone.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

As much shit as we gave Zorn and Blache around here, no one hung 59 points on his team. I don't care what you say, Shanahan, both of them, should be ashamed.

I don't know if you guys have heard some of the pre-game and post game back and forth between the teams, but appearantly before the start of the game D.Hall and Laron Landry were teasing Desean Jackson about getting concussions and not being a tough guy. Of course we know what happened shortly after kick-off. Then after the game, Philly's locker room was still beefing with Laron Landry accusing him of spitting in their center's face during the game. Of course Landry denied it, but it's been Tweeted about since last night.

Then a reporter interviewed Albert Haynesworth. I don't think I've ever heard a player so cavalier after getting their ass kicked so badly. He was actually joking around saying it looked like a BCS game the way they were rolling up points. I was like, huh? Then he jumped on Vick's jock talking about he's about to get paid and this and that. Unbelievable.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

the D got torched early and often. im not going to defend haslett but on some plays the players were in position to make a plya but didnt.

d jacks td on the first play, d hall lets him go and d jack beat landry on pure speed.

later on landry had a clean shot at a sack on vick but came up empty handed and vick went on to scramble for a good chunk.

i think some of our players get to hyped up for home MNF games.

its alot of things that went wrong, anyone on here who breaks down game film, itd like to hear what was more at fault, the D scheme or players missing tackles/assignments.

most of us thought this was an 8-8 team give or take a game. we are right around where we thought we would be at 4-5.

with mcnabb next year, things can only get better.

True and i could swear i saw London and Rocky have a change to lay the wood and they backed off. It made me sick to my stomach and i turned it off. Im tired of being devoted to an embarassment. And im gona try to pretend i didnt see that game.

I liken it to what I would assume having your femur snapped in half would feel like. So quick and shocking that it almost doesn't hurt.
