Re: DeAngelo Hall Questions Our Personnel Strategy

The Vikings are really playing well right now, but that's not at all a deep team. They can't afford to lose Favre, or Winfield, or Allen, or Kevin Williams, or Bryant McKinney, and still remain competitive. Doubt they do much in the playoffs, or even beat the Bears out for the division. They're investments have been better than our investments, but they're still going to have the same issues down the stretch.

The Giants aren't dominant on the OL this year, but they are better on the outsides.

aside from bad Offense calls I don't think the Skins are Raiders status yet
New Orleans and Chicago have pretty good teams as well. I am not sure everyone is saying Giants vs Vikes.
Regarding our success early last season, as you stated we did go on and lose the next 6 and miss the playoffs. Add to that what has happened this season, we are not a good team.
We might (we have not played them yet) not be as bad as the Raiders, but it is splitting hairs. The Raiders are bad and so are we. Does being slightly better than the Raiders make you proud?

Do you now think we are terrible?
By the way New Orleans knocked the snot of the Giants today and the vikings are getting beat by Ravens. The Giants and vikings are not the clear cut best in the nfc.

Re: DeAngelo Hall Questions Our Personnel Strategy

We suck. I've been a hard-core fan all my life, but for the first time in years I turned off the TV in the third quarter. For the record, I did turn it back on in the 4th -- just in time to see:
(1) the extra TE we drafted (who we don't use and didn't need) make an illegal block on a return.
(2) the safety because HEYER missed a block

You don't draft an O-line for a decade, DON'T complain when your offense sucks.

Doesn't take a genius to see our "personnel strategy" sucks.

Can we turn it around? Likely not for years. In one year how do you replace an LT and RT and QB and RB and MLB (and C and WR and OLB)? We'll need a lot of 1st and 2nd round picks -- and by the time we replace those, we'll need to replace the rest of the team too.

I say REBUILD. Trade Carter and Moss and maybe Cooley for picks and then *DRAFT NEEDS*. We're aging and we're not going to fix everything in 1-2 years. Good news is our defense is mostly young and should be good & intact for 5-8 years - hope we can rebuild by then.

Unfortunately the fans and ownership don't believe in rebuilding.

We do not need to replace our MLB. Was this a typo?

When will these vain a-holes learn? They are destroying the team. Then DS will give a speech with the SuperBowl Trophies in front of him. He needs to keep those locked up until he wins one and stop acting like he was here when we got them!!!!!!!!!!! There is no "I" in team!! QUOTE]

But in Snyder's world, there's "ME" in team. And sadly that's how it will always roll. Personally, I throw up a little everytime I see Snyder in the same room with those trophies.

Snyder is a business man who treats this football team like a business. He needs to start treat it like a football and not a business, period.

He has to have the humility to get out of the way and let a professional Football GM rebuild this team. The problem is he cant do it. He so wants to be a part of any success that he cant help himself.

He needs to stop thinking like a business man.

be great if we saw the celebrating touchdowns instead of 2 yard gains or making a tackle. get your ass back to the huddle- 1st downs are your job- not an opportunity to party.

Re: DeAngelo Hall Questions Our Personnel Strategy

not picking on gholston, but yesterday, he made a tackle. then he acted like he had conquered the world and was celebrating. that's his job. moss- same thing. on the rare occasion he makes a first down, he gives this flamboyant 1st down signal. it's his job. gets paid far more than he's delivering. and we have a team full of them. clean house on skilled positions, and draft guys that are 6-6, 325. young hungry guys who won't think they need to celebrate making ONE tackle. you NEVER see cooley doing that crap. make the play, get up, and get back to the huddle. losing weekly to winless teams? there's nothing to celebrate..........

Re: DeAngelo Hall Questions Our Personnel Strategy
