Redskins are currently at a 78% win probability in this one. Pending the Portis story, of course.

That looks good. I have 2 questions:

1 - does this take into account the Cowboys injuries returning
2 - are they pretty solid every week.

I know that the "accu-score" model on espn's site gives the Cowboys an edge.

Re: It's Dallas week!

This game scares me. Coming off a blowout loss to the Steelers at home (yes a blowout, considering the only points the Skins scored came off 2 early mistakes within the first 5 minutes of the game), with a sputtering offense...and quite possibly no Portis, it just doesn't look good.

Don't get me wrong, the Cowboys are struggling too, 2-4 in the last 6. But they get Romo and Newman back, which could be the spark they need.

The Redskins will have to dig deep and really put pressure on the Cowboys to perform. If the Skins can get up early and force the Cowboys to abandon the run, we could see a repeat of the 1st game. When Romo is pressured, he makes mistakes. However, if Alexander/Betts/Cartwright cannot run the ball, it's going to be a long day for Campbell and the Skins offense.

And because this is a rivalry game, you can throw out all the records, injuries, trivial things because these games get ugly.

No prediction here...just hope that those Skins that can, step up, and they are able to contain the Cowboys.

It depends on which Newsman we get back. Newman was back from injuries for the first time the Boys played the Redskins, and Moss made him look average. If he's really healthy, that will be huge.

Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that Portis might not play. If the Cowboys somehow win this thing (which I just don't see happening, even after putting on those lovely rose colored glasses), the talk will be not of the win, but of the fact that the Redskins were down their best player.

It's always better to see two great teams play at full strength.

I totally agree and that's my point 10-6 might not get you in the playoffs this year and with the easy schedulle on the South it seems more likely that Philly, you and us are fighting for 1 wildcard spot, because I don't think it's goign to end like last year when 3 of our division went.

That's why this game it's a must for both teams division record will play a huge factor in december.

That is incorrect. It was the Redskins game that Newmans real injury was revealed.

All through training camp he was said to have a "groin strain". It was after Moss torched Newman for that 53-yard bomb that we knew T-New was not healthy and should not have played in that game.

It was after that game they discovered the sports hernia. He had surgery and sat out the last few weeks. And now hopefully he is back.

Newman gets torched when he's healthy, too. He's always been way overrated IMO, and I'm not just saying that because he's a Cowboy.

Re: It's Dallas week!

From the insider ...

Zorn is already given to spending more time in practice on certain situational drills than Gibbs and his coaches were - such sessions are more of a staple in the West Coast Offense practice schedule - but with so much to cover and only so much on-field time available, Zorn is trying to balance the need to focus on normal first- and second-down play with these other elements (as an aside he thinks the two-minute offense, in general, is operating fairly well).

Maybe I'm missing something....but I don't see the success we are having with the 2 min. drill. I see us eating up a lot of clock. Perhaps it's because I'm measuring it against the likes of the Colts 2 min. drills.

Re: It's Dallas week!

No portis is a big problem, but i think betts and alexander have the ability of filling in well. IMO this game in going to depend on how well JC plays because our running game isn't going to be able to bail him out. We need to score eatly to make a statement. I think this is going to be a very different game than the monday night game. We have the potential to win but we have looked weak lately. Who is inactive?

Hey, maybe one of you Cowboyz can answer something for me. Why was Boonell throwing with his right arm two games ago? I don't know perhaps he has been throwing right handed for a few games now but I was confused as to why he was when he is a lefty?

Re: It's Dallas week!

I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal about homo and newman coming back, If I remember correctly they played when we beat them in dallas. And as I've said again and again that game was'nt as close as the final score. Let's just hope for Portis to be able to do something and that Moss is healthy so he can abuse newman and dallas again.

Re: It's Dallas week!

did the cowboys send cooley a cowboy ballon saying he will get 1 catch, for 1 yard and a fumble against them on sunday?

haha, pretty funny and good-humored sportsmanship (kinda like snyder to jones with the cell phone etc); i like reading about things like this more than TO running his mouth saying the same old stuff . . . very cooley-esque of them but they just opened up a big can of prank worms! get em cooley!!

go skins!!

ps - nice to see the cowboys fans finally showing their faces after its been covered with shit since we beat them down!!
