Re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
It's gonna be hilarious when Cooley is on the inactive list every week

NO it's not. Because then we'll have to hear from the fans how their best TE is sitting on the inactive list and how Shanny doesn't know how to use his talent.

It will be interesting to see how much time it takes to get him on the active roster.

I thought the same thing although I guess it seems unlikely to be the case as it's hard to not have 3 TEs active. If one goes down then who steps in? Also they're generally the backup at FB.

Re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
I think Cooley starts as soon as he's in football shape. Niles Paul has a long ways to go and even though I like Paulson, I think Cooley has better hands and knows how to run routes better. When it's third and 7 I'd rather have Cooley on the field myself.

I am so not concerned by this injury. Im so not concerned with our offense. I mean even with Davis out our offense was fine and that was against one of the better defenses in football - in their house. Id so much rather be reading a thread that we found a safety and put doo doo williams down like a horse with a bad leg. There has to be someone in the free world that is better than him and needs a job.

Have you not been reading some of these threads? Goat wants Kyle gone due to his play calling....lol A couple others share his view.

Bill Walsh wasn't anything until Joe Montana. Bill Bellicheat wasn't anything until Tom Brady. We can play this game ALL day long. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you don't have the talent to make it work, you aren't going to do very well. Talent ALWAYS carries a coach for the most part, so you assertion that somehow Kyle's success isn't really his, it's somebody else, is a bit ridiculous. Kyle has earned his stripes in the NFL, he hasn't had daddy giving him jobs. No coach out there is going to risk their jobs just to employee some coaches kid if he couldn't do the job.

The Texans have NOT missed Kyle Shanahan in the least, period. The Redskins will NOT miss him either. Our offense lost the game yesterday, and it's not on the players. Here's just one example: on RG3's INT you may have notice that was the 4th or 5th time Kyle had called that play. The defense was waiting for it, and because Kyle doesn't spread the field with his routes it makes it far to easy for a defender to jump a route when they know the play. Sure you can make the argument RG3 shouldn't have thrown it there, but the play shouldn't have been called in the first place. That's where were at...our rookie QB has to bail out the OC or else.
