The problem with federal programs is they are pretty much forced to spend every penny of funding every year or loose the money. Thats a flawed system and if we fixed that we would save billions each year. |

If we're depending on polls of American citizens to determine what our financial future should be, we're in trouble. The average American household carries $5000 - 7000 in revolving (aka credit card) debt, in which the interest rate is typically 15% or higher. Pretty worthless poll.

I wonder if Arnold ran on a platform of reducing state employees to minimum wage.
If the situation gets dire enough politicians will have to cut these programs, but of course it would be better to cut them before the need was that dire. |

Re: For JTF's Reading Pleasure: "What is the Tea Party"
Yeah those TEA Partier's are crazy. If they got into power they'd send in predator drones into Pakistan and blow up weddings. They'd drop bombs on Serbian schools. They'd lock people up without a cause and hold them forever. Why those TEA Party people they want to take us back to 1776. Why if they were in power they'd sell out our birthright to the banks. Can't have that can we!

Re: For JTF's Reading Pleasure: "What is the Tea Party"
The only reason we need to raise the age on SS is because the government took our money and spent it on something other then what it was collect for in the first place. You liberals bitch and complain every time some company rips off people and spends their money on other stuff but you have no problem with the government doing this with your money month after month. If I did with customers money what they do with SS money I would be in jail. The government does with tax payers money what Madoff did with investors money with the only difference that the government can pay back my money they spent by taxing some other poor ass to pay for my retirement. Madoff did not have that unlimited fund but if he did he would still be ripping off people today. The government can have their SS and shove it up their a$$. And that my friend is how I feel about that.
