With not having a #1 pick, i know we may not get a starter...but has anyone thought about Hester if he falls to our 3rd or 4th round picks...I know he will need alot of work on Deffense, but he would ad depth and speed and youth to a needed possition...and he would be a GREAT pick up for Special teams, where he can earn his Roster spot for 2 years before, we Springs is done and then he slides to the #2 CB spot opposite of Rogers. What do you guys think????

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
One guy that I was impressed with this year and I don't even know if hes a senior or what. He may be a freshmen for all I know but he was impressive to me. Chancey Stuckey from Clemson. Did anyone else see him this year? Also the other Moss from Miami. The first starting brother wr tandem in history.

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
I think that we should try a 3rd round pick on little Moss. I mean he is blazing fast, I think I read somewhere that when they played backyard football Santana and his brother had to be on opposite teams because they were the only two that could cover each other. To go along with his speed is his returning abliities, I have heard however that his hands are not as good as big brothers. I say we pick him, use him on special teams and groom him to be a WR, also if he is as fast as they say that will be hard to cover him and Santana...

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
We have a 2nd round pick...and I wouldn't mind getting Mosses brother, but as of right now they are expecting him to go early in the 2nd...before we pick...and I really wouldn't want 2 of the same type of WR's...I dont think they would complement each other as well as we would like.

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
we just kind of need another reciever, and having 2 mosses would mean that it would be near impossible to blanket both, leaving one open

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
I think people like the name and his speed...but i would rather find a Solid Possesion WR, that has speed...this way Patten can be on one side, Moss can move around in the slot...and the other WR (J.Jurvicous)can command some kind of coverage (Warm Body)that none of the other WR on our roster could....

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
As far as secondary help goes, do you guys remember our interest in Jeremetrius Butler from the Rams a couple of years back? He was an RFA, and the Rams wound up matching our offer, but I'm wondering if he's an UFA now. Then again, they probably signed him to a long term deal.
I think it's still vital to add maybe one more solid prospect in the secondary. Springs has been solid for us, but sometimes his health can be an issue, and Williams' defense depends heavily on cornerbacks. |

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
That's what i was trying to bring up...GW, needs depth at secondary. This past year we did it with alot of Vet. Safties...but you know he would like someone faster then Harris as the nickle and a mix of youth for depth at CB...that's why i brought up Hester..and he could EASILY replace Brown as our KR and PR next year and be our Dime CB for the next 2 years and then move to Nickle or # 2 CB with Rogers when Springs leaves via CAP or Retire.

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
If we're going to take a "chance" on a receiver in the 3rd round, I really do want a big guy.

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
I want a big guy...just not another Gardner...they dont have to have 4.2 speed, but they have to be able to get away from a nickler CB.

Re: Secondary help and Returner in the Draft
Hester Doesn't even want to play CB. Thats why he moved to WR. Plus he wasn't good a CB. Kiper has Moss as a top 32 player on his chart. So Moss may not even make it to our 2nd round pick.
