Next NFL Commisioner...
Matty' can we get another poll going? If anyone cared to watch SB XL pregame coverage may have caught Condoleeza Rice enthusiastically talking football with an ESPN analyst at Ford Field. I was impressed with her knowledge of the game and almost passed out when she said she would love to be in Tagliabue's shoes!? Who wants to see a woma.. I mean scanda, I mean, Condoleeza Rice running the show?

Re: Next NFL Commisioner...
no one would want her. she's not an owner, she's not a coach, she's never played. Total outsider.

Re: Next NFL Commisioner...
If she were commissioner now would she have declared war on TO calling his mouth a weapon of mass destruction?

Re: Next NFL Commisioner...
This isn't new news (can I say that?). She mentioned she wants to be NFL commissioner at least two years ago.
As far as her being an outsider, you can be sure she's following things like the CBA, FA...those sort of things. |

Re: Next NFL Commisioner...
I thought she was a presidental candidate. Bush proved that you don't need to know anything to be president. Maybe she figured, she doesn't need to know anything to be NFL commissioner.

Re: Next NFL Commisioner...
She is a polarizing personality. I wouldn't hire her as NFL commissioner simply for that reason.

Re: Next NFL Commisioner...
I'm not doubting that she's clueless about football, but tags was in the family for a while, and i don't believe she's ever worked in or for the NFL in any capacity, let alone for a number of years.
I don't think people would take kindly to her justs being granted a job, so she either needs to dig in or forget about it. It just strikes me as being like the deion wants to be a head coach (without any of the steps between like assistant or coordinator first) or MJ wanting to be a GM. Without experience in it, it can end poorly. She has been involved with politics and law though, so academicly there's no problems. |
