Cowboys -- Question on Akin Ayodele.
I'm curious how this player has looked. I think he's been the biggest defensive pick up within the division. I loved him in JAX and just curious how he looks for you.
Kinda because my IDP fantasy league has him starting right now and wanna know if it's worth it!

if the skins are playing dallas and i have T.O. on my fantasy team, then i have to basically root for owens to do well against the skins. no way in hell can i do it

Re: Cowboys -- Question on Akin Ayodele.
I totally disagree with this argument. If I have TO on my fantasy team its because I know he's good for an average of like a TD a game and 80-100 yards. I will still root for the Skins, but because he's good I know that in all probability he'll get a TD or so. Im not happy when this happens, but happen it does. It's not about rooting for someone (cause frankly if rooting hard meant anything the Skins would be working on their 26th Superbowl title in my lifetime)...its about being knowledgable enough about the NFL as a whole to best predict who will succeed over the course of a season, not an individual game.

Nope I would always root for the Skins, but if the Skins lose, and my fantasy player did ok, then that will make me feel better. I much rather see the Skins win and my players do bad every week.

Re: Cowboys -- Question on Akin Ayodele.
amore, for owens to get those 80-100 catches a season, he has to do it against someone, doesnt he? i am not saying fantasy geeks arent knowledgeable, just that sometimes players come before team loyalty. and i know that for a fact

Re: Cowboys -- Question on Akin Ayodele.
My fantasy football experience has been kind of so-so over the years. I used to call myself the "Marty Schottenheimer of fantasy football" because I was always making the playoffs (and occasionally the championship) but never winning out.
I don't play anymore for two reasons: 1. It requires little knowledge of individual defensive players and offensive lineman. Most of the focus is on the prima-donas, and many fantasy football coaches don't even know the names of the other players. 2. A lot of luck is involved. Don't get me wrong, there is some skill, but particularly in my last season, we had a guy in our league who got very lucky and nearly won it all. Some luck is okay in every game, but it got a little excessive watching that guy win game after game. At least he didn't win the whole thing. I came to the conclusion that there are probably not enough factors in fantasy football to make it interesting for me. I might get back in someday, but for the past two years I haven't bothered.

me, i dont get it either and never will. i'd only do it if i could pick the entire redskins team. i've realized, everything i've learned about other teams and other players, the whole NFL really, is just in terms of their relation to my beloved Washington Redskins.
