I voted Top Ten. Before I did, I looked at the top Defenses from last year, and tried to guage what they gained and lost. Tennessee was number 1, and they lost (among other players) Jevon Kearse, which will change their line play. Philly (#2) gained Kearse, but lost their starting CB's - surely affecting their style as well. Baltimore should continue to look very good. New England lost Ty Law, but gained Rosevelt Colvin. Carolina lost a couple of good CB's, but their system seems to rely less on individual heroics and more on team play than most.
I know we'll be vastly improved. The question becomes, who will get out of the way to let us climb to the top?

The 'Skins were what, 25th last year? I'm looking for an improvement into the top 15. Williams alone will make a huge difference much like Lewis did. The front four still worries me though. It's "improved" from last year with the additions of Griffin and Daniels, but how much improved is the big question.

I voted top 15. I think the defense will improve as the season goes on. i expect the defense to look bad at times early on.

I voted top 10. If I'm not mistaken weren't they in the top 10 under experienced defensive coordinators like Rhodes and Lewis the previous few years? Not to knock the man but I think a lot of the problems last year had to do with the inexperience of Edwards. Now they not only have Williams but Greg Blache plus I believe the former Chargers defensive coordinator as well.

I voted top ten, we were ranked 4th under Lewis, and the year before I think we were ranked fifth. Now with a good coaching staff and a solid defense I think we should finaly start to make things happen. The ability to get an interceptin this year should help out a ton.

I voted top 5. I believe, especially for defense, that coaching is 90% of what makes a top rated team, and we have a proven defensive coordinator again. It took Ray Rhodes no time at all to put us back at the top. The D-line is not elite, but I think the staff will use their LB talent to "hide" that deficiency. I don't see any other weakness.
Oh, yeah. And I am an eternal optomist. I was a fan through 25 straight losing seasons (which Lombardi put an end to), and every year, I expected them to have a winning season LOL. On a tangent: I hope none of you guys ever boo our team when you get out to the stadium, no matter how bad a season they are having. I went to many games while I was up there, and never once booed our guys. I did plenty of it directed at officials, Cowboys and other opponents, but NEVER at the Redskins. I hate hearing them booed in our own stadium.

I voted top 20, I think they won't move up much until they address their D-line problems.

I voted top ten. One word: Coaching. Williams will get them playing to their potential.

Top 10- Not only will better coaching on defense take hold, but a much better Joe Gibbs offense will keep the opponents offense off the field more....
