FoxSports - Power Rankings - Week 6

FOX Sports - NFL - Power Rankings

Washington suffered a heart breaking loss on Sunday, dropping a “gimme game” to lowly Tennessee at home. Mark Brunell looked shaky, the defense looked porous, and the NFC East division crown looked a million miles away.

I'm just fine with my up and coming squad. I think if we have a good offseason on the defensive side of the ball we will be in the playoffs. I would rather be surprising people than disappointing them. Oakland=us two years ago though...

anyone can say if they have a good offseason...

if we have a good offseason we could be in the superbowl. that's kinda meaningless. the offenses aren't much different right now (though the 49ers get a LOT more garbage time to work with because the defense is giving up over 10 more points per game than the skins, not to mention the easier schedule due to being horrible last year). until the 49ers can get at least 8 wins they won't be surprising anyone.

Regardless of what yout think is meaningless, I stand by what I said. I don't know about the offseason for the skins, I mean you guys have a lot of money in guys that I don't think are going to help you win much. Also we really don't know what JC is like right now and I assume he will be starting next year, but yeah playoffs are possible for everyone next season (except the Raiders). We have had some garbage time to work with but outside of the KC game our offense has looked pretty good against our other opponents. I think if we can get a mediocre defense next season the team is playoff caliber.

49ers (2-4)
QB: Alex Smith - 1,285 yards, 8 TD's, 4 Int's, 86.4 rating
RB: Frank Gore - 520 yards, 3 TD's
#1WR: Antonio Bryant - 21 catches, 415 yards, 1 TD
14th in total Offense
28th in total Defense(gives up 5.7 per play)

Redskins (2-4)
QB: Mark Brunell - 1,239 yards, 5 TD's, 3 Int's, 86.9 rating
RB: Clinton Portis - 371 yars, 6 TD's
#1WR: Santana Moss - 25 catches, 415 yards, 3 TD's
11th in total Offense
22nd in total Defense(gives up 5.3 yards per play)

Hmmm... They're actually pretty close to the 49ers. The difference is, everyone expected the Niners to be 2-4.

That's one of the most depressing posts I've read on here in a long time.
