Moss, Fauria Upgraded to Probable

Good news for the offense, particularly Clinton Portis and Mark Brunell, Redskins.com is reporting that Santana Moss has been upgraded to probable.

Unfortunately for the Redskins, however, TE Christian Fauria has also been upgraded to probable.

fauria can stay inactive for the rest of the season, for all i care. but great news for the skins. moss seems like one player the eagles are genuinely afraid of

Re: Moss, Fauria Upgraded to Probable

Guys this may sound really wack, but I dont want Moss to play. I want Brunell to throw to other guys like Lloyd and Thrash. I feel when Moss is on the field, Brunell only looks at him, and rarely at others. I also feel, if Brunell mixes it up in the pass game, then we have a better chance of winning, bc Philly would have to guard everyone. Therefore, with Moss on the bench, I feel Brunell will mix it up(bc he will have no other option), which will give us a better chance of winning....

If Moss comes back and Brunell looks soley to him (Despite the fact that Moss is our best reciver) than that should be reason #1 Brunell would go on the bench. I'm hoping that he gained some confidence in other recivers last week that bringing our best WR back will just enhance that.

I hope so too, I am just really worried about Brunell's dependency on Moss.

Moss is a gamebreaking player, we need him back in the lineup period.

Maybe Brunell got some confidence in the other receivers and maybe will spread the ball around a little bit more. Even though we only scored 22 last game, we were a dropped ball or goal line stand away from 30+ points.

I want Moss back in the lineup, but I would like to see Brunell look beyond Moss and Betts. I hope I am not asking to have my cake and eat it too.

Why would you buy make/buy/randomly acquire cake and not 'eat it too'?

Go ahead and eat.

Re: Moss, Fauria Upgraded to Probable

good analogy. moss can score from just about anywhere on the field. if healthy, he needs to be out there

Re: Moss, Fauria Upgraded to Probable

For the Redskins to win in Philly its absolutely critical that Moss plays. If Moss is out than we have 4 WR's going into this one and you have to believe that Patton will somehow not be able to play so we again have 3 WR's available. This worked last week against a over hyped Dallas secondary but this week, against Philly who I believe is one of the best secondaries in the league, it would not be so easy. Also James Thrash is in my opinion a clutch player. He may even have Art Monk type of hands (just money on 3rd and long) and needs to become a key player on this team. One last thing, Betts is a FA after this year right??? Do you get the feeling that he has gotten better every year and just when he is at his peak his contract is up. I just have a gut feeling that the Giants are already thinking about how to replace Barber for next season and from what has happened over the last couple of years, you just have to think that Betts would be a contender considering every year the Giants do the take a player from the Skins and rub it in their face thing. We better F-ing not let Betts go there if we're not going to resign him.

Word off of tripleX radio, Moss did not practice today is looking more likely to be held out of Sunday's game. Although, it is not definate yet.

We beat the Cowboys without Moss, we can most definitely do it against the Bucs.

No Moss, and no Portis against the Tampa Bay defense (on the road)?

If Campbell can get us into the end zone once in his first start, we have a player (of course through analysis of stats, I already know we have a player)!
