if campbell doesn't start next week

i agree during the start of the season we might of been a little quick to say put in campbell, but now i think the time has come for either gibbs to pull brunell or brunell to pull himself (highly unlikely)

i'm tierd of losing. changes need to be made, there are no excuses for losing the way we did, something's gotta give.

uhh hello gibbs, is anybody home? wake up and smell the coffee

it is time to give JC a chance, who knows he may give the skins a spark, and they damn sure need it.i do'nt think brunnell has played that bad this year, but the players around him sure have.
i also say put portis on IR,and give betts and duckett a chance next week!

I dont think Portis' broken hand is season ending. I do think its time for Campbell. I also wish that on 3rd down and 9 they would stop throwing passes for 3-4 yards in coverage and expecting to pick it up. Thats frustrating. Since when did the sideline pass to Betts become our best play? How many times did we run that f-n play today?

Blitz Brunell, ball goes to Betts. soon after comes the Punt team unless we get a lucky break or opposing team penalty.

Define bad. Brunell hasn't played bad, by most standards, if you are running a powerful run orientated ball control offense that week after week is gobbling up clock time on offense, while the defense is shutting teams down.

Look at Baltimore and McNair, NYG and Manning, San Diego and Rivers etc al. None of them HAVE to put up big numbers, but when they are down and have to go deep, they can. When they need a receiver to pick up 9 yards on 3rd down, they can.

Brunell may be good statistically and he may have made few mistakes, but nobody is scared of him. It's no good relying on Moss to get deep on 3rd and 10, you won't get time to throw it. You need to be able to get it to Lloyd or Randle-El on a 10 yard hook or a short post. We need a QB who can find the open man on 3rd down and hit him for the 1st. Brunell isn't doing that and nobody can tell me that's all down to the rest of the team.

you just defined it yourself. when you have 3 shifty WRs and a killer Tight End on 3rd and long but just predictably throw to Betts underneath after every blitz and put that bad defense right back on the field.

Re: if campbell doesn't start next week

"Define bad"? WTF.

Scoreboard. Three fucking points. How many trips into Eagles terrritory with no results. I'm sorry, but the QB has some major responsibility for the limp dicked offensive production.

The only problem with starting Campbell now is that it is too late for it to have an impact on this year.

Re: if campbell doesn't start next week

I have to disagree that a lot of us were too quick to say "Pull Brunell" before. These last few games he's done nothing but prove us right. How many 3-6 teams leave in 37 year old qbs? Arizona pulled a guy who wasn't performing. The Titans did the same. It's time for Joe Gibbs to say "I made a mistake. Mark can't get it done anymore." And throw Jason Campbell in there. Mark is holding them back.

I bet he will start next week. But if he stinks it up, and I believe he will, he will be done. I like the guy, but I mean damn...retire already. You are done.

Re: if campbell doesn't start next week

Where's the Brunell love that permeated through this website for the last few weeks? Damn, did the season have to be lost before anybody read the writing on the fuckin' wall? Brunell has been playin like this all year! Campbell should have already been playing! At least he would have been gaining valuable experience win or lose. He damn sure could have done as well as Brunell if not better! How good do you have to be to lead a team to a 3-6 record?
