Taylor nears agreement

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Jul26.html

Looks like the deal could be done by today. Taylor would be in the passing camp by tomorrow.

Finally some good news for this kid and of course the redskins. Good news for us....the anxious Warpathers.

What is passing camp, and why does he need to be there?

I thinks it primarily for the QB's, WR's, TE/H-backs, and RB's. I think the reason why they would need Taylor there is because who are they going to compete against? You need some kind of defense there to make it more competitive.

Plus, Taylor needs catch up with everyone and get up to speed. It will only help his development.

Interesting....one of the articles said we've already signed Cooley, and Taylor's cap no. can't exceed 2.18 million (in the rookie pool) this year. It also says Taylor is expected to receive atleast a 6 yr deal - sounds like a huge contract is in the offing, but at least he'll be a skin during his best years.
