Fact or Fiction
Washington defense will hold Detroit to less than 25 points.
I say FACT. The Redskins offense will have more success against the Lions defense than they have had against their first three opponents. I predict more methodical time consuming drives for scores. This will put less pressure on the defense, and they will be able to stay fresh most of the game as they won't be out there the majority of the time. Loss to Giants + Extra week off + Playing the Lions = Win |

Re: Fact or Fiction
I'd say fact as well- while the lions pose an intimidating array of offensive options, we will be coming off a bye week that gives us 2 weeks to heal up, and develop strategies...While i find G Williams to be blindly arrogant (though he's gotten better this year in terms of altering his vaunted "system") I have faith that he will come up with a plan to lock down those WRs.

Re: Fact or Fiction
As would I. ESPN and NFL Network are having a fucking FIELD day with us losing. So tired of the haters.

Re: Fact or Fiction
We CAN do it. This means not sitting our corners 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. These are some big physical freakish receivers we go up against and if we can't tackle Plaxico we could be in some big trouble. We are also going to need our safeties to help over the top on the deep crossing routes or posts. We can do it, but I don't think it will be that easy.

Re: Fact or Fiction
As long as we get back on track especially on 3rd down situations on both sides of the ball, we should be ok against the Lions.

Re: Fact or Fiction
I say fact but it seems like the Skins have a tough time scoring more than 20 points so even if the D holds the Lions under 25 they could still lose.

Re: Fact or Fiction
The Lions defense is a little lacking to say the least. Hopefully we can put up 24+ points on them.

Re: Fact or Fiction
Fiction
We will go up on them by 20 points before the half. We will start the second half by playing clock control and running the football resulting in several 3 and outs. Detroits potent offense will open up and put 28 points on us before we try to do anything about it. We will get the ball with 2 minuites left and try to put together a game tying drive. We will tie and go into overtime. Detroit wins the toss and elects to receive. Long pass to Roy Williams over Shawn Springs for the score and Wala game over. All thanks to conservative play calling in the second half. |
