on the bright side....

Taylor set bretts record....

our defense played well....

it was a sloppy game, but honestly i think it pretty much went both ways. as bad as we payed we hung in there with a team that is going to be looked at as a contender. we didnt get blown out. penalties and our own mistakes killed us, not green bay, and anyone who watched the game will see that.

i still think we are a legit team, and as pissed as i am right now i cant seem to count them out just yet. if the fans are pissed, youd better bet the players are irate with themselves, i still see us as a top 5 team in the NFC.

the players sure didn't act like they gave a crap. Good teams put people away, good players come back and make up for bad plays....we have done neither this season

Re: on the bright side....

we will only go as far as our offensive like will take us..and they keep getting hurt...having said that i agree with the above poster's comments..some people did'nt want to play today it seems.

moss killed us
Lloyd hurt us not catching that deep pass
there were other dropped passes
and portis cant seem to stay on his feet whether running or catching passes
I know that he needs blocking up front, but damn.

I think you missed the point of this thread. You don't have to look far to find a negative thread, but the point of this one was to look on the bright side. How about try some positive comments?

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Dude if Lloyd caught that pass, he should immediately be put in the pro bowl, that would have been crazy.

No doubt. That catch would have simply amazing. Unfortunately, I couldn't help but think "Did he slow down a little to time the dive?" Silly thinking, I know, but I have a weak mind.

The funny thing about this game are the countless "what if...?" questions that we all have going through our minds.

Unbelievable. He didn't slow down. He made a great effort on what would have been a miraculous catch. Leave Lloyd out of the 10 reasons we lost the game. Only really two reasons we lost...fumbles and dropped passes.

Re: on the bright side....

Let's see, we played about as poorly as we know how. Lost fumbles and interceptions. No Moss and Randle El to speak of. No running game. ST should have intercepted 3 more. Played in Lambeau against a pretty good Packer team and lost by a lousy field goal.

No I'm not happy, but it's way to early to jump off the bridge...

i agree with everything he said...and i might have been a bit harsh..i forgot to take into account the slick/wet playing field.

Re: on the bright side....

I think the weather had a lot to do with the sloppiness of this game. Both teams played poorly overall, they just played slightly less sloppy. I think we need to chaulk up some of our poor play up to the weather.

That being said, I am very happy with the D. We held two great offenses to a total of 20 points in 2 games...that's impressive.

We're blaming the weather now? Wow, last time I checked we play outdoors and not in a dome? And if weather was our downfall now--what about December at the Meadowlands?

He's not making excuses... he's giving a valid reason.

The weather probably helped stifle both offenses, the Packers we're just able to score with their defense. Statistically, we should have won that game... but oh well.

And about Meadowlands, that's a good point, and I'm not looking forward to that game.

Not making an excuse, just making an observation. This is the first time we've played in that kind of environment, not like we had any practice. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen again.
