It's only one game, get over it

Before you all get excited about how bad we got wup, here are few things to look at.

We played without:

Rock Cartwright- He's been giving great field position thru out the season it hurt not have him

Smoot- That was a surprise him not playing, hurt again

Rogers-Bad injury, might be gone for the season

McIntosh- Played about a 1/2 and was hurt, bad stinger

Jansen- We know about him

Thomas- same as Jansen

That's a lot of key players missing that make a difference in this game. So get over it and hope they get healthy or we are truly FUCKED!!!!

i think you can argue that we might be the most affected by injuries thus far this season. it's sucks but that's football.

Injuries weren't the issue today, we got demolished by the best team in the league. No shame in that. We just need to pick up the pieces and get a 'W' next week against the Jets.

Not having Smoot, Rogers, Cartwright and McIntosh, definitely changes things. Regardless, we still got our asses kicked!!!

I understand that it is one game but it is more of a "gut check" type of game. I live in the Philly area and rarely hear the interviews to Coach Gibbs or the players but today I heard Sonny ask Gibbs "fluff" questions after being disgraced. No one seemed angry except London Fletcher.

This absolutely has to be Gibbs last year unless we make the playoffs. His approach to the game, including the play calling is awful!
I used to like the Patriots but today's game showed how classless Bellicheck is! I hope the Colts win the AFC championship and go to the Superbowl.

I don't think so, he's a few players short, DE, WR, OL/OG. 1 more year to complete his contract, he's so close and Campbell will be 1 year wiser, makes a big difference.

I felt this way after the Giants loss at the 1yd. line and I still feel what you're saying. Look, Joe Gibbs has been the teflon don as a head coach of the skins. But now the gloves are going to have to come off because this so called offense is declining week after week due to his belief in Portis's poor running and Sanders 'shitty playcalling that finally reached heights that I never imagined. This is a shame when you look at how long the defense has to be on the field. Hell, the offense doesn't give them time to get their boxers out their asses.

Welcome to the board sir. Just to warn you, some around here are gonna piss on you for telling it like it is. I've been saying this since I became a member and it's been a little rough, so I guess I'm glad to have a little company.

Not true. You'll just get pissed on for being negative all the time and only having something to say after a loss.

That's bull&%#!

I'm actually more optimistic than most because I see light beyond the current mess w/ Gibbs coaching but not really coaching and not calling plays but then influencing the play-calling, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

And I post win or lose.

No shame in that? The shame is in the way that this team played. They played like they put zero preperation in this game. Maybe I for one just expect too much from a Gibbs coached team with all of it's high powered coaching staff. This is definetly a defining moment for this team in the coming weeks. 52 points?!?! Are you kidding me?

I think it's a combination of things, they rattled Campbell, Smoot got hurt pre-game, Rogers and McIntosh got hurt during the game. Everything hit at once at the worst time, the game changing moment was when we were behind 17-0 and were inside the 20 yd line and then fumbled.

We could have gone into the half down just 17-7 and it would have been a completeley different ballgame. But we didn't and it wasn't

Maybe ,,,, 52 - 14 ? NE knows that JC is inaccurate on the deep pass , squated on the short routes and dominated us . Until JC can hit the deep pass ,,, we are in trouble , and yes he is only his first year starting , but a qb 4 years into his NFL career should have some accuracy . Too bad we had all the injuries this year , it is killing us . Hope the best to C. Rogers on his knee !

Yeah, I guess at that moment the game changed from awful to downright putrid.

The main point in my book, is that although we lost by a whole lot to a whole little, it still only counts for one loss.

And you know what, if we have to play shitty once in a while, I'm glad we did it against the Pats, because we were going to lose this game no matter how well we played.

Keep in mind, we win next week, and we're 5-3. The Jets are our next opponent. Keep your eyes on the road.
