NFC Beast Rules

The NFC East obviously this season has shown its supremacy over the league. Hopefully our skins can prevail and be crowned division champs in the hardest division in football.

The 2009 NFC east could be the best division in football history thus far.

Perhaps by 2009, the East will be so strong that the NFL will let our last place team in as a 3rd wild card and have the NFC West champion just stay home ;-)

Kidding aside, I would take the top 4 team in the NFC East in our last Super Bowl year (1991) as the greatest division ever:

Washington 14-2
Dallas 11-5
Philly 10-6 (Randall Cunningham missed the entire season)
NY Giants 8-8

That's pretty stout.

Good point, but we dominated the division that year. I think that the east is so good now that were just gonna beat each other up.

I disagree about the domination aspect, it was the fierce competition within the division that really battle tested us for the playoffs that year. Our two losses in '91 were in the division: we lost at RFK against Dallas after starting the season 11-0, and at Philly in a meaningless last game of the regular season since we had already wrapped up home field for the playoffs. I attended the Giants game in NY, and we overcame a 13-0 halftime deficit to win 17-13. The first Dallas game was a hard fought win (33-31), with Lohmiller hitting 4 FGs over 45 yards, two of which were 52 and 53 yards.

I do believe that whoever wins the East this year will also be battle tested, and most probably will win the Super Bowl.

Yeah, it's scary. On a side note, isn't it funny how Eagles fans were calling for Donovan McNabb's head just last year?

Yeah really, I know.

But the season is still young and those Eagle fans are the most impatient ones I know of.

That and McNabb got hurt in the Pittsburgh game and Kolb had to take some snaps. A little deja vu'? Lets see if he can stay "healthy" for 16 games. Odds are he will not, he will miss some games due to injury. Fans will question his durability, tab him "injury prone" and then they will start the head hunt once again. Just like Christmas, it comes at the same time every year, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

So you're predicting another one and done for the Cowboys in the playoffs? Sounds about right

Re: NFC Beast Rules

It's getting to be like the good old days when the NFC EAST was without a doubt the best and most physical division in football. Hail To The Redskins! I hope we kick those brokeback mountain, cowtippin, loudmouth, self-promoting jerks a**'es so bad it will leave no doubt, that no matter what their record is, when they play the Skins, it will be the toughest, most physical games of their season.

Re: NFC Beast Rules

I think our guys know whats at stake here. These cowpukes are smug. I mean this tool, Tony Romo was off vacationing in Cancun last year during their two weeks off prior to the playoffs. I mean what kind of pretentious jerk off does this? Especially an NFL quarterback! Look what happened. As long as these guys are completely satisfied with themselves they wont win a playoff game.

Re: NFC Beast Rules

The NFC East is undefeated so far through Week 3. The only teams they've lost to are in its own division.

If we can keep that up for a few more weeks that will be impressive.
