Redskins vs. 49ers week

Hey this game is being televised in Hampton Roads!!!! LOL

I like the match up for us. Coming of a great Defensive showing against the sorry ass iggles.

I look for us to put up over 20 points this week, hold them to less than 10 and end the season on the road with a victory. 9-7 finish for our team this season.

Discuss.

re: Redskins vs. 49ers week

I think JT sparked our defence last week and I see us doing more of the same on D. I also look forward to Hall to continue to make a impact.

As far as offence I would like to see JC go down field more often and think he will.

I think our defence will win this one.

I'm breaking my redskin cherry by going to this game. I grew up watching the skins on T.V. from Hawaii. This is the 1st time I actually get to see them live. other than the occasional redskins at the pro bowl. I can't wait.

Happy Holidays To EveryOne! And congratulations mauiRedskinbarn. Hopefully your first game will be a good one. A Redskin win would make going into the offseason a little easier to take. Hopefully we kick ass and go out on a positive note!

Agreed, I'd love to see a 52 point performance like the last time they played these guys. Won't happen, but I can ask for it as a Christmas present from Redskin Claus!!

HAIL!!

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers week

Reading this irritated ME, just a little... maybe not others, but...

This is from an article written from an interview with our boy Vinny Cerrato:

No longer in the hunt for an NFC wild-card berth, the Redskins could use their final game as an audition for next season, giving rookies such as Rinehart and Tryon playing time with the first team. But with the opportunity to finish with consecutive victories, "we're looking to win the game," Cerrato said. Rinehart "hasn't played yet. It makes no sense to do that. How's that fair to [starting left guard] Pete Kendall? We're not into evaluating, we're into winning the last two games in a row."

So basically, any of you hoping some rookies would get time Sunday (Rinehart, Tryon, Brennan), oh well.

I'm not on the bandwagon saying winning Sunday and finishing 9-7 is a big deal. What's wrong with letting a bunch of guys show what they can do with/against a first team offense/defense?? What's so wrong if they don't help win and we finish 8-8?

We should be focused on 2009 and beyond right now shouldn't we? That's jusy MY opinion, but regardless, I also think it's stupid to not give these guys and opportunity to show what they can do....

You play to win the game no matter what. I don't have a problem with what he said.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers week

I agree with wanting to win the last two games. But since losing 5 of 7, we need to evaluate what we have in a real game. The 49ers are going out to WIN, as should we. But with that said, this gives us a prime opportunity to see what Brennan, Kelly, and Thomas can do. I like what I've seen from Campbell this year, but I don't think he will develope into an ELITE QB. I understand all the coach changes, but you need to fave adversity and accept it, not use it as an excuse. I would love to see Colt play Sunday. He will give us the best possiblity to score more than 30pts this year. You never know, he could be the next Brady or Cassel, late round draft picks emerging in the NFL to be elite QB's.

Completely agree. Offseason and preseason is for evaluating and trying things out.

I disagree 100%. If we had 2, 3 or 4 wins then I'd be all for it. These guys will get plenty of work in pre season games.

No need to get irritated! This argument can go both ways. The Cowboys just found out what a gem of a running back they have in Theshard Choice. He was not supposed to play this season but was put in because of Barber's injuries. Well, he lit it up last week.

And guess what? JJ said he earned a starting position this week no matter how Barber plays.

Bet they are happy they didn't wait till offseason to evaluate him!

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers week

I won't be surprised if Zorn has Thomas and Davis play almost the entire game. Also won't be surprised if they both have great games, show a ton of emotion and carry the experience into next season. Kelly worries me. By most accounts we was the "smartest" of the three rooks and had a better grasp of the playbook, yet we've seen very little from him. Hopefully there is a nagging injury keeping him back and it can be fixed in the off-season.

... also would like to see Rhinehart get some time but if it would be to his detriment because of sand in the vagina i understand.

Zorn said this week that he is going to play this game like any other game and not experment using the rookies as our core WR's. So I think we will see what we have over the past couple of weeks.
