will we ever get a fair game from the ref?
Let's see....a receiver ran out of bounds came back in and made a first down catch....and a ref was right on the sideline. i think that was illegal. how about the face mask on ramsey....and of course no call. if you look at these games you'll see a pattern. for instance.....tampa bay did not get called with a single holding call...and neither did the giants...is this a coincidance? i don't think so. remember last year when we played 7 games in a row without getting our opponents on a holding call. steve s. said it best when he said "you think the refs will ever call holding on our opponents"..and he was right. this just isn't right...and i'm tired of watching us get screwed every game...even when we win....we still get screwed...look at last weeks game. and trust me this pattern will happen again next week.As for ramsey....he is a shot player.....caused from last years many hits. and man....how old did brunell look?. As for this game...if we would of punted on first down most of the game...we would've won...our offense was there best offense. OUT!!!

UHm, in all fairness when we turn it over 7 times I don't think the refs exactly dictated the game. Ramsey's facemask got called. The replay showed that the guy stayed in bounds. A few questionable pass interference calls, but that's it.

If I may play the devil's advocate. Lavar did facemask the hell out of Tiki and the penalty wasn't called. The ref's called a penalty against the Giants after Coles caught a pass. I mean they can not play the game for us. We had enough chances to score 28 points in the second half alone.

calls go both ways, like daseal said when you turn it over 7 times it's not the time to be pointing fingers at the refs

This game really showed how effective our Defense is. Barber 13 carries for 32 yards. Dayne 5 for 12 yards. That's the lowest yards gained against us in long time against the Giants. There will be unrelentless blitzzzzzzzzing week.

1st of all if you watched the replay the reciever did not step out of bounds. 2nd Ramsey rand for the 1st down (18 yards) and 2 flags were thrown for the face mask, which was promptly declined. So don't even atte,pt to say the refs were unfair. Tom White and his crew are across the board the best we can get. IF you think we are getting screwed week in and week out then you should pick another sport to watch. |

Overall the officating was pretty fair....although the Gint receiver did not have both feet in bounds, there were also calls against the Giants and the calls against the Redskins were valid...IMHO

There was some plays that we got screwed on, there were some plays the Giants got screwed on, it was pretty much a wash. In the end, I'm not really pissed at the refs cause we had our chance.
If anyone wants to get pissed at the refs, did ANYONE see the Florida vs Tennessee game last night. The Tennesee guy punched a Florida guy RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF, and then the FLrodia guy pushed him back. 15 yrds on Flrodia , nothing for Tennessee. It ultimatley cost Florda the game too. Anyone catch it? |

Refs weren't the issue today.

you could make this complaint about some other games in the past but definitely not this one. heh didnt you see Arrington's uncalled facemask on the jumbotron? 80,000 fans, the viewing public and the refs certainly did...

First of all, let me agree that the refs are not what cost us this game. However, you are dead wrong about Tom White & his crew - they're downright some of the worst refs in the league - these were the guys that botched the Baltimore Seattle game last year (screwed up the clock adjustment that led to overtime) and were fined a game's pay. Closer to home, these were the same guys that almost cost us the game versus the Patriots last year - remember that one? We had to run out the clock, the offense was called for false starts, and on a 3rd and 32, Ramsey hit Coles for an unbelievable catch, but they ruled it an incompletion and we had to sweat it out while the Pats drove deep into our redzone (fortunately, Iffy batted down a Brady pass on 4th down to seal a 20-17 win). |

I stand corrected on this. But I would prefer to have White versus Triplette. My bad, but the game was fair and the Skins just flat out lossed |

I think the officiating was alright yesterday, with one exception:
Portis catches a TD pass, falls down along with a defender, gets up, doesn't "dance" or anything, he just spikes the ball and runs back to the sideline. BUT because the defender happened to still be on the ground next to where the ball was spiked, it is a taunting penalty!?!?!? COME ON!!! Isn't this football? These rules were made to stop overzealous celebrations, but I'm sorry, players have been spiking the ball after a TD for as long as people have been playing football. Geeezzz... I know this isn't something that would have won the game for us, but it did look like a very bad call. The only other ones were the missed facemask calls on Lavar and to Ramsey, which basically evened each other out. |
