Injuries???

I know Bowen got knocked around, and Coles had the finger, and Morton with his concussion. Does anyone know the status of these guys for Sunday?

From what coach Gibbs said in the press conference, it appears that LC's finger is going to be pretty sore this week, but he should be fine. Chad Morton had a mild zinger and he twisted his knee, but the injury isn't too serious, I believe that he is questionable.

When in the game did Coles get that bad finger? would explain some drops.

as much as i crazy admire him relocating his own finger, Coles needs to stop feeling responsible for having bad appendages (along with the toe). if its gonna hurt his play on the field, he's got an obligation to let the coaches know so he can heal, and someone else can CATCH.

It had to happen early, I think on the first drive. He was trying to make a catch on the sideline, I think he lost the ball for a second cuz it was a very easy catch. He doinked it and immediately grabbed his finger, everyone I was watching the game with saw it. Just after that is when he got hit by Roy Williams and when he probably told the trainers about it. THing is he made that catch to get us to the one after that, so he's gutty and very good but I agree he's got to get out of there if he can't catch. We've got too many wideouts capable of contributing to have one guy out there dropping catchable balls and costing us possessions.

I expect Coles to bounce back this week with a MONSTER game. Him and Sean Taylor both.

I'm most worried about Bowen too. I dont know how hard it would be for Taylor or Lott to just slide over, I'm not sure about how the packages work and everything. Theres one guy I know I dont want in there, Ryan Clark.

If Coles made a couple of big catches his injury would have been a non-issue. I can't fault the guy for gutting it out, that's what players like him are gonna do. I'd rather have a team full of guys like him then guys that come out after breaking a finger nail.

of course. my point is he didnt make some big catches, dropped some easy ones and maybe thats why. so maybe it was an issue. dignity and pride arent the same thing.

I believe that Bowen tore his groin muscle, so I don't see him being able to play this week if that's the case.

The Skins site says that Bowen has a groin strain. Much better than a tear.

True, but I'd rather take my chances with him in the game.

Guys get banged up and play through injuries all the time, it happens in every game. Just seems a little silly to me to criticize Coles for being tough. It's not like he kept playing on a broken leg. For all we know the finger could have had nothing to do with his drops at all. After all he has dropped a few this year prior so maybe his main problem is adjusting to a new QB and getting comfortable in this system.

Or maybe the finger was the problem, who knows?

Both Bowen AND Andre Lott are listed as questionable for Sunday. One of htem needs to play. I dont want to see Ryan Clark within 3 states of Ohio on Sunday.

I'm with you on that. Ryan Clark just doesn't seem to be putting anything together. I would definitely like to see one of those two in there otherwise we have to look for Clark to somehow suck it up and really redeem himself.

:FIREdevil He looked a little something like this last game he was getting burnt so often

and get better Bowen and Lott

Why wasn't Todd Franz playing, or was he?

I believe that Todd Franz did step onto the field at some point in the game, but maybe someone can confirm that...
