Top Players in the 2010 Draft
Last year, when the Redskins picked at 13, they picked with plenty of available future superstars available (Oher, Mack, Orakpo), and actually ended up landing one thanks to reaches by Oakland, Buffalo, and Denver ahead of them, not to mention the unnatural inflation of a weakened QB class.
This year, with the Redskins picking at No. 4, there's far less doubt that excellent players will be available when the Redskins pick, so the pre-draft emphasis should be about identifying them and selecting one of the excellent players. We already have a thread about late round gems, and a thread for each quarterback that is supposed to get drafted in the top two rounds, but I thought we could use a position-neutral thread to discuss the draft stock of players that you, personally, are high on. Specifically, this thread is for players you would like to select with either the first or second round draft choice, not for players who you feel will fall in the draft. Don't concern yourself with positional need here. If you think the Redskins should seriously consider Earl Thomas or Joe Haden or Sean Weatherspoon or CJ Spiller or Dez Bryant because they could help the team, throw those names out here. The idea is to promote awareness about players who could be Redskins in the near future, even though draft discussion on the 4th pick tends to be limited to offensive tackles and quarterbacks. Links to scouting reports and draft stock updates are encouraged. Focus specifically on players who, in your eyes, are going to be superstars in the NFL someday.
