I've been dreading this thread all week.... First off I HATE the Eagles. I mean absolutley dispise these m'fers more than anything. Now, they arent going to go 15-1 this year, they are gonna have 3/4 losses I think. Could one be this weekend, I think so. Now when you look at who we have lost too, and who we have beaten, I really have no business saying were going to beat the Eagles. The fact of the matter is, we match up well with them. Very well. All of their strong area's, are strong area's for us ( Passing game vs Our Secondary) , their weaknesses are our strenghts (Run vs Their Poor Run D). When you break it down that way, I think we have a better chance than most teams. Its going to be tough, going into Philly, Ramsey's first start, were 3-6, their 8-1..... We might not beat them.... but I'll be dipped in sh*t if we dont try...
Skins 24 (YES OVER 20) Eagles 23 Call it bias if you want.... it proboly is.

Gameplan....whatever Pittsburgh did. Seriously, I hope they are studying that game like crazy. Also, remember back with Martyball we had Arrington shadow McNabb the whole game and we beat them, I believe, in Philly. Wasn't that the last time we beat them I know we won't have Lavar but maybe Pierce can step up the way he's been playing all year. I am not predicting a win. When I do that we lose. I would, however, like to see three touchdowns. Even if Ramsey throws three picks the three TD's would be a big step for the offense.
I don't think we will be spanked like the Cowboys were Monday. Our corners are much better. That being said, who's got TO? Whomever it is they better bring their best ever game. Look for Sean Taylor to lay out TO once and shut him up...that would make my day win or lose. Keys to the game: Run Portis Run. Keep McNabb on his heels. Limit TO to one TD. (I don't think we can totally keep him out of the endzone) Lastly, the defense that showed up to the Bengals game better not show up again, we need the defense to take back the #1 spot. |

I think we need to force McNabb to throw. We need to bullrush with the d linemen like other teams do against Vick. The only problem is that McNabb is a much better pocket passer then Vick, but I would rather McNabb throw on us then get time out of the pocket and throw a 60 yard pass on a 14 second play.

I hate to be a realist, and I hope I'm wrong but 28-10 Eagles. Ramsey has not proven anything yet, and considering how extremely thin our defense is and how they get no help, this may be the game where they finally crack. I feel bad for them but they can't keep up their amazing play all year long, especially when its always for just another L.

I have to be a realist here. I think the Skins hold the Beagles to under 30 pts.
However, I do not see us scoring more than 17 pts against their D. The Beagles have an above average secondary, so Ramsey will be tested this weekend. Portis should be able to find some gaps to burst through. I don't expect Portis to rush for a ton of yards. Our D should keep us in the game for most of the 1st half. BIG QUESTION: WHO'S GOING TO COVER TO....? I suspect G. Williams will use some zones with the safeties playing some double coverages on TO & perhaps Westbrook. Both lead the Beagles in recv'ing yards last week against the Cowgirls. PREDICTION: Beagles 27 - Skins 17

I called last week's loss to the bengals, so here comes another one. Except the wheels start to come off in this one as the skins are just outclassed. Eagles win this one 35-17. Offense will give up a td in this one.
As I said last week, sure hope I am wrong.

I guess it all depends on Ramsey. I hate to put all the pressure on him, but let's face it, we desperately need a boost in the passing game to get this offense going.
TO and McNabb are going to be tough assignments for our D, I just wish we were at full strength against these guys. We've been getting bit by the injury bug all season, when is it going to finally swing in the positive direction for us? We need a big game from Portis to help keep some of the heat off Ramsey. If Ramsey can hit some big plays and keep the D honest, that should help open some things up for the running game. I'm really not worried about the Eagles offense too much. We should be able to shut down their running game and focus on McNabb and TO. I don't want to see TO running free like he did against Dallas though, but then again Dallas' secondary is horrible. Still, Springs or Smoot are going to need help. Even though I don't like our chances in this one, I'm going to cross my fingers, keep it positive and go with the Skins, 24-20. |

Skins - 27
Eagles - 24 Portis will have to get at least 25 rushing attempts, and hopefully that can keep the Defense honest, and create some big plays with the play action. The good thing about this game is we can pound the ball against a very suspect run defense, and then stretch the field with big passing plays. O-line will also play a HUGE factor in this game. I think its important to keep Ramsey protected so that he can get comfortable in the pocket and not force any throws. He needs time back there. We should get Cooley involved in the offense more also. It seems like he always catches the ball no matter what. He probably has better hands than any of our receivers! On defense, I think we should double TO with Springs and Taylor, and force Mcnabb to throw the ball underneath to Westbrook and LJ Smith. I think our LB's can cover them. The D-line? Hopefully we'll get some pressure on McNabb and if we do get pressure, grab a hold of his jersey, sock, shoe string, something. Gotta get him DOWN! McNabb always seems to have a big day scrambling against us. Gotta contain his ass. If we win this game it could turn around our whole season..... |
