2010 NFL Preseason

I don't know if folks are going to catch some of the other preseason game, but I thought I would start a thread.

Currently watching the Ravens vs. the Panthers. So far DeAngelo Williams looks like a beast, Matt Moore looks pretty good, though the Panthers have Otah out and it shows in the first series.

The Ravens started firing down long passes down the field on offense. And believe it or not, they just had Mount Cody on offense as a fullback (on a goal line formation). Ravens defense looks good as always.

I don't get too worked up over pre season football.. Most teams don't even try out there. For example Spurrier went like 4-0 or 3-1 one year and we finished 5-11 the same season. I will be watching though bcuz I H A T E baseball..

Well not that I put a lot of stock on preseason, it's just good to see what other teams' first offense looks like.

The Ravens are going all out with the passing game. Boldin just made a nice catch and dive for the first down. They need to get their o-line together, Flacco has been sacked twice.

Sidenote: So the Ravens have both Jim Zorn and Al Saunders. Had completely forgotten about Saunders.

re: 2010 NFL Preseason

So I know Clausen was a big topic around here during the offseason. Just saw his NFL debut and did a decent job. Led the team down the field and the drive ended in a field goal. While he had a good first outing, I would say Matt Moore's job is safe for the season (barring an injury).

Meanwhile, Bulger had a first bad outing that ended up on a sack/fumble. The Panthers have two rookie RBs that are tearing it up, but unfortunately one of them just fumble.

I must say while the preaseason can be a bit boring, it is fun to see those camp scrubs beat the hell out of each other to gain a roster spot.

I thought flacco looked rusty in the begining but had some nice throws once he got in a nice rhythm down. Also the Panthers were having trouble with Pass Protection, but were solid in the running game.

Well Otah is out for the Panthers. I still think Moore did a decent job. DeAngelo Williams looked ridiculous. I'm sure with their limits in the passing game (decen QB, not much of a receiving option after Steve Smith), they are going to be a run-first team.

Sounds like the Raiders defense is playing like the Raiders D from Madden '10.

I know it's preseason but Campbell has had 2 passes dropped for INTs. He looks like the same old JC

I have already played '11 and like it so far. I am waiting though on the patch that's supposed bring back the classic pre-snap controls and a roster update. Right now the Redskins don't have Jammal Brown!

re: 2010 NFL Preseason

I love it how ESPN doesn't show the three sacks and the Romo fumble in their highlights. Also, Stu Scott already talking about Dallas trying to be the first team playing the SB at home. Ugh, why do I get the feeling the league is going to try to make this happen.

Dallas's pass rush is as good as ever. The Raiders' D seems to be holding its own.
