All this time just to put him on the IR list? We should have made that move in week 4!

I know people will say he was a bust and a bad sign, but injuries are just one of those things that you can't control, as we've seen this year.

I hope he can get back to 100% and help us out next year. I still think he's got plenty of gas in the tank. Before this year he was an iron man, so this year to me was more of a fluke than an indication he's damaged goods.

I would cut him for cap relief if it helps any. AP more than held his own in the middle this year and can do the job much cheaper. The Redskins need to learn how to hold down some starting spots with inexpensive players. I do believe Barrow could help if healthy, but if the jobs getting done cheap why pay someone 12 million dollars to do it?

I don't think cutting him would give us any cap relief, so I'd expect he'll be back as long as he's 100%.

Overall, Pierce has been solid, but let's hope he stops getting burned by tight ends in the endzone.

Cutting him would get us a cap hit in excess of his cap number next year.

barrow is better than AP overall, believe it or not (definately not this year though :P), if both are healthy, we could try some 3-4 (AP is better than most of our Dline guys) or line lavar up at DE (which could solve two problems)...

We should have never picked up Barrow, it was only a matter of time until he turned into an Armstead. I am glad we picked up Cris Clemons. I remember seeing him play at Georgia and he really impressed me. Also, I can remember that in a press conference during training camp LaVar was talking about how good the linebackers were with Washington coming in and he also said Clemons was a freak, hopefully he can get some pt over Marshall while LaVar is out.

At the time, I thought the Barrow signing was a good idea.
20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Was anyone in serious disfavor with the Barrow signing initially??

I don't remember anyone really having a problem with it.

It's easy to second guess the move now especially since Pierce has played so well.

Knowing how Barrow is, he'll come back with a vengence next year.

I was really against it. I like Barrow alot but he was getting up in age and it was only a matter of time until an injury slowed him. I also really wanted to see Trotter as a Redskin for another year. I thought that with another year of recovery from his knee injury he would be able to return to his animal status. I never really like Pierce but he is having a hell of a year so I am happy he was able to step up and show what he could do.
