Carlos Rogers

i wished we would've taken mike williams. but carlos rogers isn't that bad. im sure he's gonna be our #2 cornerback on the depth chart. hopefully mike is still available at #25. after the way we and minnesota passed him up, i think other teams will look at that and decide if he is worth it. damnit. no. i can't believe detroit took mike williams. man that sucks. i think that is gonna make the skins trade out of the first round.

Re: Carlos Rogers

Carlos Rogers is good - very good. My favorite CB in the draft, but when a player like Williams falls into your lap...

Re: Carlos Rogers

Why? We filled our biggest need! We have plenty of WR's that will be able to get it done....we are a run first team, and the H-backs (Cooley) can fill the big posession guy role....

Re: Carlos Rogers

I'll take Carlos Rogers. We did the right thing! I would have preferred a DE but there weren't any in my opinion that were good enough to be a 9th pick.

Re: Carlos Rogers

We have no need for a soon-to-be TE, he won't last as a WR for long.

CB was a good pick, our D will be killer.

Also we have enough decent WR's on roster.

Re: Carlos Rogers

Yeah, I'm agreeing on going CB as opposed to WR. We've had a ton of change at the WR position, and let's give Ramsey a chance to get things done with our current guys behind a totally healthy O-line.

And yes, I've heard the arguement that we don't have a "true" #1 receiver. Give our guys a chance to step up! I honestly think that given the right amount chances, several of our receivers could be big-time.

Re: Carlos Rogers

I don't like the pick for a lot of reasons. First of all, Gibbs said that they wanted to get some guys to help out Patrick Ramsey at his little rally at FedEx before going to the war room about 10 minutes before the draft. I think he was the 2nd best CB in the draft, probably the most consistent, but I didn't think we needed a CB. I thought Harris could have stepped up, give Wilds a shot. See what happens. I don't like the pick. I think we should have gone Merriman. We get no rush from our front 4 and I think he would have been the better choice. Finally, how, if you wanted to surround Ramsey with weapons, how do you pass on Mike Williams. It doesn't make sense.

They should take Matt Jones at 25

Re: Carlos Rogers

theres a reason mike williams fell so far. he's not as good as some people think. he's a bigger rod gardner.

Total offense last year: Rank-30th
Total Defense last year: Rank-2nd

I guess it makes sense that we passed on Mike Williams.

What the #%! are we doing!!!!

A better defense IS a weapon that helps Ramsey. I thought Harris would be good for this year too, but both he and Springs are not getting any younger....a couple years from now Rogers and Wilds could be a VERY formidable CB duo, not to mention a more seasoned Taylor back there with them.

Re: Carlos Rogers

I agree the corners are kinda old, however, I think we could have gotten one at a later time. I didn't think that he was a guy that was too good to pass up. I just didn't think it was a necessary pick.

Re: Carlos Rogers

this team never seems to disappoint me and the other fans. we sign the wrong guys and draft the wrong guys....way too go. one question for everyone? what is worse? getting screwed by the refs bad calls all year? or getting screwed by this lame ass franchise? i know...it's a tough one. have to go now and take a shower from being shit on again....thanks skins!!!
