New Madden Wishlist
I'm pretty sure many of you guys use a playbook other than JGibbs whether you play with the 'Skins or not. My question is which playbook that's on the game now will most resemble the default for next year's release? JAX's? West Coast? Unchanged (due to nobody knowing what plays we'll be implementing this upcoming year)? Any shotgun formations?
Damn the WRs we signed this off season already had weak OVRs and neither one had a breakout season last year so I don't see EA overcompensating their OVRs just because they're slated to start. This probably applies more to Patten than Moss but, it'll be scary that none of the WRs on the roster will have a rating of 90 or above and possibly only one of them with a rating of 85 or better. Any light to what may happen? Griffin, Washington, Taylor, Marshall, Rabach and Cooley should be significantly better than last years'. Arrington and Daniels, both who likely will lack decent INJs, will probably get hurt very often. I'm still hoping for better coverage in the secondary. I'll view the previous posts and try different sliders to see how that impacts gameplay. You would think more flags would be thrown as they were last year. And maybe this new 'QB Vision' will offset the need or desire to drop back 15-20 yards before throwing the pass. ![]() |

I didn't know there was such science to Madden.

Re: New Madden Wishlist
I just wish that they improve the overall gameplay, like hopfully they will get rid of players walking threw each other after the play, and when your QB gets sacked his arm doesnt go a full 360 degrees while he holds on to the ball. Also when your RB hits a hole he should slide threw the nearest opening and not get stuck behind the center or guard or tackle, its almost like your own guys stop you, that really sucks!!!!

Re: New Madden Wishlist
Lately, I've been using Tennessee's playbook. Lots of H-back style stuff with the fullback.

Re: New Madden Wishlist
I just made my own playbook. It took a long time to perfect, but now it is a work of art. It resembles Joe Gibbs's plays, excecpt they work.

It's taken me about a year to perfect my playbook and it's quite small. I have a lot of fun designing formations and plays. The only problem with creating you own playbook is that Madden doesn't allow to truly test your plays; in the "test" phase of creating a playbook, my RB gets 25 ypc and in game-situations he gets 4.0 ypc. So it takes a long time to get everything down pat, but creating your own playbook is definately one of Madden's best features. |

Re: New Madden Wishlist
Not the Madden version of Gibbs's plays, the actual type of plays that he uses. Key word being TYPE. Similar formations, plays, etc. The only thing that suck is that you cannot use motion in a created playbook. But you can still change plays at the line.

Re: New Madden Wishlist
I think our receivers will get pretty good ratings but ramsey isnt going to get much love. I bet moss is a 90, patten an 86, and the rest around the 76-79 range. Cooley might be an 80 at TE. The oline will have great ratings, perhaps dockery the only one that isnt in the 90's. The defense will get great ratings.

Re: New Madden Wishlist
Hopefully 2006 will have a more true representation of Gibbs' playbook. 2005 was basically the playbook from the year before.

There aren't any true counter-treys in the current Gibbs playbook, and they included the shotgun last year for crying out loud. One of the upgrades this year in Madden is supposed to be re-designed playbooks and new plays, so I've got my fingers crossed. |

Re: New Madden Wishlist
Regarding plays and playbooks. I love the fact that you can edit plays that are already in existance.
