Offseason Power Rankings - # 29

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking

well in espn's offseason power rankings, they have the skins 29th out of 32 nfl teams, and last in the NFC east.

if there is any solace though the chargers were 32nd in last years offseason rankings and look how well that turned out for them.

any thoughts?

The way these power rankings work, if we win the SB, I bet we still wouldn't be #1 in a lot of these polls.

We need to be at least 9-7 to avoid the trade from becoming terrible.

It will turn out to be a terrible trade no matter where we finish.

I know I say this every pre-season but THIS SHOULD BE OUR BREAKOUT SEASON!

If the D maintains its top 3 status and the offense plays to 10 then we'll be set.

Well last year we were ranked like 10th or higher and some said that we would win the superbowl. Also im confused why Detriot is so high, they finished the season like 2-8.

F- Polls. I put no stock in polls whatsoever........especially polls that come out months before the first preseason game is even played. Last year's Chargers are the perfect example of why these things just don't matter.

They have the F-ing DOLPHINS above us! Yeah, screw that poll. Not based on a lot of thought. Cowboys at 12?! Bah. They're predicting us to be worse off than last year. I don't buy that at all.

Seriously. It's just to have SOMETHING to say. Put out a power poll after the first preseason game...

Re: Offseason Power Rankings - # 29

It is way too early to determine which teams will be good and which ones are gonna do bad. These power rankings are based on offseason acquisitions. I agree the patriots are the top of the food chain. Cowgirls at 12? I don't think so! I think we should be way higher than 29. Just because we lost 2 starters on D dosen't mean that we are gonna suck this year. Alot of these "experts" don't really know what they are talking about anyway. All we need to do is turn up the offense and we are serious contenders in the NFC and the Superbowl. I don't think that it will be a problem for coach Gibbs to do that. We played the Eagals for 7 1/2 quarters and they are considered the cream of the crop in the NFC. Like I've been saying we don't have to get that much better to contend in the NFC. I like the fact that people are underestimating our team. So, everybody keep their hope and their faith alive and we will do fine this year. Much better than last year.

Go SKINS!!!!

Re: Offseason Power Rankings - # 29

Matty, how do you expect the skins O to move up to a top 10 when they have done almost nothing to improve?

As much as I hate to say it, I think this poll is closer to being correct than being wrong. I doubt the skins will be 29th at the end of the season but I will be amazed if they can get to 15.
