The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Post Browns Thread
The good...cousins 27 pass attempts and Matt jones 22 carries...that's what we need. I thought the second half was just great...that's redskins football. The defense was scrappy and pounded the rock won us this game. Josh Norman is having a great, all pro season for us. Hey Jordan Reed your cool too. Trent Murphy is playing great. Kickers are freakin beast.
The bad...did anybody else get injured leaving the field? The injuries are mounting...wtf. The ugly...my effing hangover and the tackling. I saw Cravens and bruton missed a couple. Bruton shouldn't be on the field...more duke nachos and craven. And the flag for bow shooting is garbage...I don't understand how that is a flag. Weak by the league .500 and a nice win in every facet of the game.

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
Overall it was sloppy but it's a win. Nobody cares about the stats if u win. Kirk was sharp most of the game. His InT was bad but it happens. Jones gets game ball with Norman for both showing fight.
Bad= run defense just horrible. Ugly = the refs. Holy hell what a shit show they were today Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

Nice to see Jones and the run game come alive. Really needed that.

You know cousins int wasnt too terrible of a throw and his two throws to Jordan for tds were really damn good. I think cousins performance today showed a lot of good signals where he has shaken off the poor start to the season.
I thought the Oline was fairly dominate today.

I should be happier with this win than I am. The Browns just ran through our D like a hot knife through butter. We need to get a couple new D-Linemen in here who have big bee-hinds and can't be moved so easily. Seriously.

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
I was happy with Kirk today.
I think in the end, Kirk is a guy who is going to throw interceptions. Sometimes he's gonna throw them in bunches. I liken him to Eli Manning, or Brett Favre. They both threw a lot of touchdowns, too. If he throws one pick a game, which is realistic, he will finish the year with 16-20 INTs, which is what my prediction for him was in preseason, but I also said he would throw 30 - 35 TDs, which i also feel is realistic. Defense has to get better. We can't win every game by dogfight, and hoping to be able to come back in the 4th quarter and then run the clock out. Every time our opponents are going to put 20, 25 points on us, and thats just the way it is as long as we have joe barry. It also isn't fair to ask the offense to game in and game out score 30 plus points just to have a shot at winning

I think the only things I wasn't happy with was the injuries, the run defense, and the tackling in general...never seen so many missed tackles.
Everything else was a positive, especially the final score. |

Great - forcing turnovers
Good - Matt Jones Bad - Cousins taking those 2 sacks and throwing pick Awful - run defense, tackling, referees After starting 0-2, 2-2 is the best you can be after 4 games, so I'll gladly take it. Chance to get over .500 next weekend.

Indeed.
Arie came in and performed. He got dinged for a hold but he is stout and played much better today than he showed all pre-season. Our Offensive Line performed today.

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
Jordan Reed in the red zone, clutch. Run defense still frustrating, the tackling is embarrassing. But forcing fumbles, credit deserved. And Norman on the pick, that was a great play. Few corners can make that, and it was clutch.
Hope Kerrigan is ok. Kind of hope we stick with this offensive line.

I do too. The sacks were more on Cousins than the line, especially the last one. I will say this: as much as I appreciate the grit in grinding out the win, I would really like to see more of a killer instinct when we have a lead (or from the get go). We should have crushed that team. They have 1 good WR (not elite) and a good RB (not elite), a rookie QB, and a porous defense. I think they have a good coach and come looking for a brawl every week. But we ought to have won without it being so close. We cannot seem to go for the throat. Makes me crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
