TBH I like the move, it makes all the games with playoff implications play at the same time which is a smart move. It looks like the NFL is tucking their tail because of the low ratings, but this is a smart play. Especially when you factor in that it's NYE.

Yeah mostly the SNF game week 17 has no implications or very little. I agree play it all out and see what happens

Mark Cuban said a few years back that the NFL was in trouble, he was right

Was he though?

Per NBC, the NFL was the No. 1, 2 and 4 rated TV shows this fall.

Hopefully they are going to make some important changes over the off season:
scaling back Thursday night football
redefining a catch so that a catch really is a catch
fixing the supposedly fixed replay rules
and moving to a more football-esque game of football

And what happens to the salary cap ? with tv ratings down will it still go up....will teams become more conservative in spending ?

Around the NFL Week 17

It’s already a very low TV ratings night. Why bother

Re: Around the NFL Week 17

The NFL has gone soft it's just a fact and they are losing fans because of it. I'm all for heads up football but this is ridiculous.

Many including me are thinking the other way.He takes no shit. This could mean the end of ODB in NY,his choice of a HC will be the clincher.
