Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
Oct. 30 @ Giants: Loss
Nov. 6 vs. Eagles: loss Nov. 13 @ Buccaneers: Win Nov. 20 vs. Raiders: Win Nov. 27 vs. Chargers: Loss Dec. 4 @ Rams: Win Dec. 11 @ Cardinals: Win Dec. 18 vs. Cowboys: Loss Dec. 24 vs. Giants: Win Jan. 1 @ Eagles; Loss This is a 9-7 record. Probably won't be enough for the playoffs, but: If we can pull out wins against the Giants next week and split one with the Eagles, that's 11-5 with playoffs guaranteed. |

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
The Eagles are straight up getting exposed, I really think we can take them. If LaVar is as dominant in all games as he was in this one, our D is ready to move back to the top.

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
The strong thing about the eagles is that even when they're down and out, they make enough big plays to stay in (or possibly win) the game.
Look at the blocked FG against SD today. To win against the Eagles, the secondary must be healthy (no way we win with scrubs playing in the secondary), since all the eagles do is pass - their running game is non-existant. |

Form matters little in divisional games and I think that going forward we are carrying more momentum than any of our divisional rivals. I'd say the losses are likely to be the Buccs, and maybe we split 3 or more division opponents. All the others are winnable. Remember we have a very good D that is now showing signs of getting their shit together. |

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
There is no reason any game should be considered a loss before we play it considering the way our team has played this year. You could say philly and dallas always beat us but, woops, not this year!!! Outside of the AFC West I feel VERY confident!!!

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
I think Oakland, STL, and Arizona all are TERRIBLE. I think those are wins. Of the 5 NFC East games remaining, I think it's very possible for us to go 3-2. That would give us 10 wins. And I think the Chargers and Bucs (sans Greise) are both beatable. Figure 1-1 for them.
By that count we'd go 11-5. But even if we go 2-3 against the NFC East, that's still 10-6. The team can't look ahead though, they have to go one game at a time. They really need to beat the Giants next weekend. |

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
Hurrykaine, I think your predictions are extremely conservative. At minimum we're looking at 9-7.

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
I've been watching this league long enough to know that guessing outcomes week to week is a complete waste of time. We'll lose games we should win and vice versa. What is more important is the impressive execution we have shown through our first six games. Based on that, I would approximate that 10 wins seems about reasonable.

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
If we win the next two games, we'll finish no worse than 10-6. I predicted that if we beat Dallas in week 2, it would decide how our season would go. So far, I believe I'm right.

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
i think we're looking at 10-6, but could do better if our D stops giving up 80yard runs every game...

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
One thing is for sure, neither the Eagles nor the Giants can afford to play us close. I also don't believe neither are capable of putting us away early - which also proves not to work. They are going to have to hope we put the ball on the ground. Basically, they're going to have to rely on us beating ourselves like we did the last two weeks.

Re: Remainder of the season: Conservative Predictions
Nobody on the schedule really scares me, right now the Skins are capable of beating anybody.
If they just go 6-4 the rest of the way that gets them to 10 wins and in all likelihood a playoff spot. |
