Punter

Is it just me or does our punter have the weakest leg in the NFL? Is he a directional punter? What does he do well? Why is he playing for us?

Your right he sucks. The reason we have him is Tom Tupa fell apart so we brought two punters into camp. Frost actually lost the job to the other guy who's names slips me. That punter had a monster leg but no touch and banged a few in the enzone in the Chi game. After that he was cut and Frost was brought back and he's been kicking me in the nuts ever sense.

Re: Punter

I mean I know Tupa got hurt, but is this guy the best available punter? I just don't see how that is possible?

Re: Punter

Actually we had 2 guys other than Frost competing in the preseason. Andy Groom(rookie) and Chris Mohr(vet). Wonder what they're up to right about now

You mean Tupa was injured correct? I don't remember a piece falling off him so I am guessing you meant he started to suck which isn't true. He definitely had a season ending back injury in pre-season.
Frost does blow mighty chunks. There HAS to be someone who can punt better than this guy. He is ridiculously terrible. Why is he still here?

Re: Punter

frost sucks, he does have a weak leg, but he knows how to kick the ball so that if it does it the ground it takes a redskin bounce . he is also our holder i believe

Re: Punter

You guys remember that lean year several years ago when we had Reggie Roby? God rest his soul, he was the best player on our team that year! The man was in a class all of his own. I swear I saw him punt one time and the football went so high up in the air, that it ricocheted off of an American airlines plane, back down on the field. The punt coverage was sitting down having a cup of tea while they waited for the football to come back into the Earth's atmosphere! LOL!!!

Re: Punter

i dont think that we have another holder besides frost, and i dont know if groom can hold, could be a factor in why he is here

Re: Punter

groom can hold, he did hold, they complimented him on it. I don't see how holding can be that big a deal... couldn't ramsey or campbell do it?

Re: Punter

I brought this topic up after the Tampa game and everyone thought he was fine. This guy stinks! If he is punting from our 40 or midfield, he looks good. but if he is punting inside our 40, he is averaging like 35 yards. that is awful. Bring back Joe Theisman!!

Re: Punter

We're gonna have to wait until we get Tupa back next year or we sign someone else in the offseason.

If there was someone out there that was significantly better than Frost I think he'd be here already.
