Shanahan's days of high performance are far enough in the past now (in a league where avg player career is just about three years) that whatever positive things were said back in the day mean little now. Players will remember Mike's handling of the McNabb situation most likely.
...having a God complex (as Mike does) gets overlooked when you're winning and seen as a winner. When you're losing and clearly regressed at your job it just makes you look like a total a$$hole.
