It would not surprise me if the coaches did not give Lloyd some options at the end of last year and one was to get with the program. That and all criticism he got last year for his poor play may be what he needed to push himself harder. He did just OK with the 49er's and pretty much failed here last year and if we let him go he would find it a tough to find a starting position with another team. We will see but it seems he is starting this season on a positive note.
