New Salary Cap
I've been hearing wispers about a new salary cap next year or in two years. Is this true? Mort Anderson mention something about the new salary cap being about 15-20 million more than the current. Considering the skins make WAY more than most teams...this could really play into our hands...right?

Re: New Salary Cap
The new salary cap will be decided based upon the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. The old one expires after this season. However, how much the Redskins bring in will have no bearing on the new cap.

Re: New Salary Cap
I just read an article in SI and they Gene Upshaw said that they want something like 60% and right now it is in talks at like 57% - 58%. If they come to terms at 60% the salary cap will be around $100 million or so.

Re: New Salary Cap
I think Synder has been assuming this bump has been coming, and thats why he hasnt been so concerned about the cap. We could probably easily cut or trade lavar but I hope we dont unless we got some other really good talent in return
