It was so refreshing to see some pressure on the QB.

Also had 39 straight plays! First time it's been done in 25 years! What a day

Finally.

I think we have established there is more than 1 RB on this team. Feed all 3 and keep Jones fresh. Great to see Kelly in there running over people. Guy was a rhinoceros. Sometimes Jones wont look for contact...Kelly is just in there trying to hit people. That's Skins football. Physical.

Like I said yesterday...Chris Thompson has really come along.

Agreed. Bonus: our two games against non-common opponents are Carolina (1-5) and Arizona (2-3). Philly has to deal with Seattle and Atlanta. HAHA.

There's nobody we can't play with at this point. Maybe Brady. Sure would like to find out how we match up - in the SUPER BOWL.

Why not us??

Ricky Jean Francois: We run the NFC East | ProFootballTalk

In the end, the Redskins took the crown with a 9-7 mark and a couple of their defensive linemen used Sunday’s 27-20 victory over the Eagles as a chance to offer a reminder of that fact. J.P. Finlay of CSN Mid-Atlantic caught Chris Baker and Ricky Jean Francois on video as they made their way to the locker room.

Baker told the camera that everyone forgot the Redskins are “the real champs of the NFC East” and chastised those who picked the “trash a– Eagles” to win on Sunday. Jean Francois had a similar message.

“We run the damn East,” Jean Francois said. “Not Philly, not Dallas, not all of them. We run the damn East. Better remember we got that damn title.”

love the bold statement.....

I think Ricky Jean was talking bout some Warpathers in the pre game thread. got some splaining to do....

Yes, I loved the game, it's been a while where we played that well. But I have to admit we had a few advantages:
(1) Backup LT -> which caused them to keep TE (Ertz) and RB in, limiting their offense
(2) They committed incredible number of penalties which bailed us out
(3) Their DT Logan went out, which helped the run
(4) Their starting CB (McKelvin) - was out

Loved the game, and we dominated so thoroughly none of the above matters, but I'd like to see us do it again in the next few games before I'm convinced we can play with anyone. Starting in November we'll really find out (Vikings, Packers, Cowboys, Arizona)...

Re: Red hot redskins (postgame thread)

Winning in the NFL is about exploiting advantages, they did and got the win.
RK getting those early sacks really disrupted their game plan and set the tone for the game.

We need more Garcon.
He was a 113Rec & 1300Yrd receiver before Jackson came here.
I love seeing him run in the open field punishing DBs.

Ryan Grant does not need to be out there.
If/when Doctson is ready, he needs to take over for Grant and Ross. He needs to get out there and play as much as possible.

D-Jax leading our team in receiving yards, and Docston is not returning anytime in the very near future. Possibly IR if no improvement after the bye week. Why the hell is everyone so ready to send D-Jax packing? Lol. Am I the only one thrilled that he is on our team?

DJ is prone to hit or miss games, he's got some big hits ahead. People need to stop writing guys off so quick. Kerrigan anyone?

He's better than Chrebet, I think. Far better movement after the catch. Similar hands and catch radius, though.

One thing I noticed from yesterday that I hadn't really noticed before -- we hit on a number of plays where guys were lined up where they usually aren't -- e.g., Davis out wide, Crowder out wide (even though he started in, two WRs to the outside cut in, leaving him to cut to the corner on the TD ). Getting our receivers moving in space and switching spots created matchups that we exploited well.

When we've occasionally moved Thompson from the backfield out wide as a receiver, we've done well there too (not so much this season as last) because he's got wheels and good hands. Would love to see that more too.

Between that and dialing up a lot of running plays, I would say this was the best play-calling we've seen from McVay so far.
