Re: MLB thread

My boy Pete is the HR Derby champ yet again. ESPN couldn't stop slobbering over Ohtani in the pregame show. How the heck was Alonso the 5 seed in this thing?

Idk but he was about as serious as a heart attack during the derby. I was happy Soto repped us well but knew he was done when he went up against the buzzsaw that is Alonso.

I guess they rank them according to hype - Ohtani has been raking this year so he got the #1 seed.

Re: MLB thread

Either way it was a pretty entertaining derby. Mancini came to play too.

I love this dude like a young brother. This hurt my soul.

Great to see the polar bear getting it done.

While I’m hear…the Yankees have been. Complete shit show.
Let’s go Mets!

Good reason to slobber on Ohtani. He is unlike any other player ever….
But yeah the Polar Bear being fifth seed was ridiculous.

Mets 47 wins
Yankees 46 wins
Funny how that makes the Yankees a complete shit show and the Mets sitting on top of the world…

Hey Chico we can always agree that Phish is awesome. Make it to Atlantic City and ill buy you beer the entire time, and give you room and board.

Re: MLB thread

I think it’s an end of an era for the Nats as Mad Max might have pitched his last start. He was kinda the reason I jumped on the Nats bandwagon, even picked up a Jersey shirt. His and Bryce swag help set them up for a good run.

My only wish is this, don’t trade him to the fucking dodgers or Yankees

Re: MLB thread

Hand and Schwarber leaving, possibly Trea Turner too, Starlin Castro pulled a Guice, and Strasberg is having season-ending AGAIN.

It's over.

Nats have heard your request and declined.

Last night was wild in between Scherzer, Turner, Schwarbs, Daniel Hudson/Brad Hand and Russell Westbrook leaving.

Wild this is how it ends. Scherzer will never have to pay for another drink in DC again with his performance the last few years. Probably the best free agent signing in DC history. But all good things come to an end eventually. I'm just glad it seems LA/SD got into a little bidding war and we got some good prospects for him. We won a title, now we gotta rebuild the farm system.

I'll miss Trea Turner but I'm happy we went this route instead of letting him walk ala Harper/Rendon. Not sure we'll see anyone go for 3 cycles in a Nats uni again.

It's definitely over, but better to be over with one title instead of no titles. Thanks to the guys for everything.

Stras - I love the guy but we're just gonna eat a few more years of that deal - nobody will take that contract without us giving up some serious assets. Really sucks this is how it played out after his dominance in the Series.

After that run, how could you not pay Stras? But that injury, he’s probably never be the same again.

Fuck the dodgers.

Re: MLB thread

What the Nats did yesterday just ripped my heart out. I don't think I can go on w/ them. Maybe as time goes on I can come back but management has shown they simply do not care. They don't want to pay anyone who can swing a bat. Soto is next. They're not going to pay him.

As far as Max goes I'm sorry but you do everything you can to have that guy retire a Nat. He is still one of the best pitchers in the game.

These guys that we got back, idk. I'm just too pissed off to even care.

We don't win it w/out Stras. But he just never going to be the same again.
