I don’t think it was a phantom holding call, but regardless how many times have we been on the opposite side with our team making the losing plays. Sometimes, when a team is getting its legs under it, they need those luck moments we got today.

Exactly! It's still far too early in the season to say which way things are gonna go. We could potentially hit our stride in another month or so and become a formidable opponent each and every outing.

We'll eventually see how things goes.

yeah it happens to us a lot too, so I'll take the W. Just saying don't let this fool you into believing we were the better team tonight.

And for me no way that's a hold. Keeps WJ3 in front of him, hands inside, driving him forward. Would be different if William was making an obvious effort to go for the tackle and being restricted. But if that's a hold you can flag 100% of running plays.

That clip doesn't show the whole play. 100% holding.

Might not get called everytime, but no penalty does.

I edited the part where's there is contact because it wouldn't fit under 15 sec otherwise, but what was flagged is what you saw, there's no contact before nor after.
Won't argue back and forth about it forever, I'll just say as a ref I am never throwing this flag, because by the philosophy of the rule this is not a foul, the defender is cleanly getting beaten on the block, the grab doesn't prevent him from making any play, doesn't bring him in another direction than the one he is going, he's not shedding that block whatsoever.

It's the NFL and you take the win any way you can. Congratulations ,your team made plays when it counted.

That was definitely a weak ass call. We caught a break on that one.

+1

Good game G-One. You guys always play us tough - I thought we were done after Hopkins missed the initial kick.

The only real doom and gloom I have is being at work at 5:30 the night after a primetime game - can barely keep my eyes open right now.

Defense looked mostly like crap again but the good news is we have 15 weeks to correct the issues. Big issues for me was how much success they were having with the RPO - how is JDR not teaching guys like Chase and Collins to be patient and watch the handoff before reacting. Collins got burnt on Young's big run and Chase got burnt immediately after a RPO had a big gain. This is shit they should remember from last year.

Shoutout to the guys on offense - we don't win if they don't show up. They handled their jobs last night. Still gotta tighten up that defense though if we expect to compete with Buffalo.

It was a weak call. He appeared to have too much of a grip on the shoulder pads, but still a questionable call. Equally questionable was the roughing the passer call on Chase in the first quarter. Instead of 3rd and 12 at the 16, the Giants were given 1st and goal at the 8 and would score a TD. So the calls cancel each other out.

I respectfully disagree on Chase, everyone knows you can’t land on top of the qb,he could have slid to the side and not landed on him, it looked to me he took out his frustration of sucking ass all night and landed on top of him on purpose

Jones was falling backwards as he threw, before Chase got to him, harder to control the landing if you are effectuvely following him down rather than dragging him down
