Re: Bucs beat down postgame
The thing w/ Scherff I don't get. When healthy he is one of the top players at his position. Why wouldn't you pay him if you aren't paying a QB? At some positions you have to over pay, he is one of them but so be it.
Schweitzer deserves to be a starter. Put both of them at guard as your starters. I would want as many good o-linemen as possible because you are not going to keep all 5 healthy. |

Schweitzer is a starter, he’s proven it again this year.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Scherff is but better than Schweitzer, he probably got a 91 for his limited fill in role for Scherff. Schweitzer is good but not better than Scherff.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Schreff is a better player…no doubt…but I’ll play Schweitzer going forward over paying Schreff 18 mill per plus. I just don’t want to pay a guard that.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
WJ3 was only targeted 1 time yesterday, that speaks a lot of Brady's respect for him.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Glad I'm not reading any "no benefit from this win, we need to tank" talks in here.
Sure draft position is nice, but we need to be trending in the right direction, and if the D keeps playing like we all think they should've been and like they did on Sunday, then maybe we are indeed a few pieces away from being relevant. And what if winning helps you be attractive to high profile FAs, doesn't that counterbalance dropping in the draft ? What if you can attract a franchise QB ... ? I know it's one game, and the game itself is a proof of how week to week this league, so it may not mean anything, and maybe we're back to rock bottom next week. But if it's a sign of how they'll play the rest of the way, I'll take that over draft position.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
Yeah, I never understood that talk. I'd much rather them win as many games as possible, and compete until they are mathematically eliminated.
It's going to be tough to keep it going with all these injuries piling up, but that game on Sunday was nice to see. Hopefully they can build on it, and get rolling with some momentum heading into the NFC East portion of the schedule. |

Watching them play like that on Sunday trumps any draft order …I believe we can win against Carolina !!

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
You get what you for, Schweitzer is good, but for a few Mil more Scherff is worth it. Now Collins and Jackson, that's a different story.

Re: Bucs beat down postgame
The Browns just resigned Teller and Bitonio for $14m and $16m respectively, hopefully that helps to calm the market for Scherff
