I think that's a big misconception - that since most of the players released weren't picked up by other teams, it's an indictment on our scouting department.

Fact is, most teams' practice squads are made up mostly of the players they just released to get down to the required 53. There are only a handful of players league wide who don't clear waivers (like CB Steven Parker), and it makes the most sense to try bring back players who have been with the team all off season.

Health of Holcomb may be the biggest question to whether we suck and not if Wentz can be decent.
