Shane MacGowan, Pogues Frontman, Dies at 65 The storied Irish punk singer was both a national icon and, for the band’s hit “Fairytale of New York,” What a loss, guy was an original. I put the Fairytale of New York on repeat every Christmas…best Christmas song ever.
