Picking the late rounders is a complete crapshoot--at least for now. Even if you end up drafting one of the very select few with a considerable future ahead of him, theres no guarentee that even the best of coaches will be able to identify this. Had Bledsoe not ruptured that artery, the Patriots may never had diagnosed Tom Brady as anything more than a competant backup.
The best possible strategy is to stock up on late rounders and give yourself as many chances as you can. The early rounds are like making an expensive investment, while the late rounds are like playing the lottery, in nearly every way.
