I just watched some of the replay and damn Rocky really was all over the place.
As for last year and Holdman, who cares. Get over it. |

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
It appears that he simply wasn't ready last year.
Last year is over, let's move on and stop crying over the past. |

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
I like how when Rocky hits someone they don't go through him and they don't really go forward at all. Holdman would get dragged 2-3 yards before he got the ball carrier down, if he got him down.

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
It's one of the only times I'll say this, but I actually agree now on them holding Rocky out and not letting him play. I wanted to see him last year, but I guess I was just like everyone else not knowing he wasn't ready. But, from what we are seeing now, we are going to have one hellava defense this year.

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
You don't know what Rocky was doing last year, he was probably studying his ass off trying to get onto the field. The guy was a second round pick, and you're acting like he was supposed to come in and be great immediately. Let's be clear, when we drafted him we weren't expecting him to be Derrick Brooks immediately.
Last year was not a wasted year for Rocky, I'd rather we suck and give him some time to learn rather than him suck when we need him to be good. Besides, who cares if Rocky did good last year? The entire defense blew, it wouldn't have mattered if Rocky was the only guy that looked good. Last year is in the past, let it go. All that matters is that he is a great young linebacker now, and he's got a promising career ahead of him.

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
What I don't understand is why the FO was trying to get Lance Briggs? They saw how hard the guy worked this off season. Didn't they have any confidence that he would carry his hard work to the field? They drafted him and now they want to go out and get someone else who plays his position. For what? That's almost like drafting JC and bringing in Drew Brees. It sort of shows you the real incompetence of our FO. But I hope like hell Rocky takes to the reg season. He looks like the playmaker we have been missing on defense.

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
You may be on to something. Just because a teams name comes up, doesn't mean they're always interested. Remember this is business, and while we didn't go after Briggs, remember the Skins still have some of Rosenhaus' clients on our roster. He may have to return the favor later on.

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
I was a major Dale Lindsay basher for his unwillingness to take any blame for Rocky's lack of progress last year. McIntosh has made greater strides in 4 months under Kirk Olivadotti than he made in a whole year under Lindsay. Based on what we're seeing, Rocky will be well worth the price Gibbs paid to trade up for him. The linebackers will be a strength of what may be a top-10 defense again.

Re: Rocky McIntoch Appreciation Thread
We should try keep Olividatti a secret. He'll be coordinating someone else's defense at this rate. The LBers look awesome. The whole D looks great.
Except, Carlos was still giving ten yards in certain situations. I hate that. You're not racing a horse.
