The Redskins are only one game out of a playoff spot with 4 games to go. Have some faith.

Can we say the same about the Bills? Here's what we know, the Bills and the Redskins have played through the two toughest schedules in the league, and thusly, they are the two teams that are toughest to get a good read on. Are the Bills really better than us? Would they have been a playoff contender had they not had to face the Pats twice? I don't know the answer to these questions, but let me just say I am very impressed by this Buffalo team.

Certainly not for a team trying to keep it together in one of the most painfully emotional times any of them have ever experienced, to say nothing of the cumulative toll of injuries, 4th quarter collapses, and overall just bad karma.

Well I mean I thought we'd beat the Bills but it wouldn't be easy. I just meant overall the Bills would be a much improved team (not just against us)

While I wouldn't say he had a great day today, I think he won a game against us that Losman wouldn't have won. Losman hates to take what we give him, and probably would have thrown the game right into our hands once we got the two score lead. You've got me convinced. Edwards is the better QB. As for the Vikings, we should beat them. But we will only beat them if we come out and throw the ball all over the place. If we played like we did today, we will come up short against them also.

The only way we beat Dallas is if they let us. And frankly, thats why I don't think the playoffs are a realistic possibility. When you can win three games in a row in December, and still miss the playoffs, thats an unrealistic expectation to make it.

1) Yes, the season is over and every game won from here out is just another lost opportunity to draft someone really special. But there is another great reason to take this "rebuild" approach. Playing the young guys (2nd and 3rd) stringers a lot from here out gives the coaching staff (whoever it shall be) a lot of film to see who should be kept and who should not. I say we need to protect JC but outside the O-line let's start substituting heavily to get some measurements here. 2) The comments among vets are extremely serious and reflect one of my greatest fears about the current coaching staff and the team in general. First of all, of course the guys are going to take personal responsibility on camera and w/ reporters, but behind closed doors it's a given they're appalled at what's gone on. And that leads to the fear I have: w/o coaching changes the reputation for incompetence will engender vets to leave and potentially discourage talented players who might consider playing ball in Washington. I specifically remember London being hesitant about coming to Washington because losing has been the status quo but GW assured him this was the year things would turn around. Well... it's not unheardof for real talented guys to do what it takes to get out of a bad situation, regardless of contract details. As a fan I am extremely concerned about this team issue. |
