Re: Let's talk some Orakpo
Is a God defender better than just a good defender?...I can see more on field miracles perhaps.

And yea, a player will come who will part offensive lines, stop footballs mid-flight, turn solid QB's into water, and raise a moribund franchise from the dead.

Re: Let's talk some Orakpo
We need a "playmaker." Orakpo could be that guy.

...I really, really hope that Blache has kept the schemes very vanilla for preseason, in fact i hope he's been holding everything back to a degree, and come sunday we see a firestorm against the G-men. Our defense has not been terribly impressive in preseason and it's got me a bit worried...i want to see us flip the switch on the opposing line!

Re: Let's talk some Orakpo
In yesterday's Redskins-Giants game, I didn't hear Orakpo's name called but just a couple of times. Did I miss something, or rather, didn the sports announcers miss something?

Re: Let's talk some Orakpo
Not really. Rak wasn't that effective. He didn't make any real plas other than a QB presssure. Maybe he is better suited playing end than SLB.

Re: Let's talk some Orakpo
Orakpo Height: 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) Weight: 260 lb (118 kg) a future OLB not DE ... Rumor has been he can not stop the RUN!!! Maybe he will be better in a 3-4 later in his carrear....

Re: Let's talk some Orakpo
Someone who can't stop the run is better off as a 4-3 DE than a 4-3 OLB. 4-3 OLBs are chiefly responsible for the run. 4-3 DE's are far enough away from the play that you can compensate with a physical corner or safety.
