This reminds me of when Chucky was stock piling QBs during his last year in Tampa Bay.

Soley from the tb positon it does, but factor in Rock's special teams play & it makes a big difference on the roster. Who of these guys can play spec. teams? will DT play less on spec. teams if he's starting wr? Then is Marko going to play more teams?

Somewhere there's got to be some special teams players between these 2 positions. We'll see if any rooks or journeyman make it. I'd prefer to see a rookie rb (undrafted fa would be best case) that plays teams make the roster at #3 & WP gets cut. Will make for some interesting decisions come cutting time.

Seldom if ever will you see three star running-backs competing for the same backfield. I don't recall ever witnessing that.

I wouldn't call these guys stars, it's not like we have Chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, and Steven Jackson. I think all of these guys have something to prove and have very little options but to compete for the job.

Well, former star players, we might say? I was really surprised by this move; however I love this plan.. Shanahan and Allen obviously are doing what they can do with free agency, which is stockpile on any positions if given good players.. Like few said in this thread, this gives us more options for draft.. We won't need to draft any RB and try to find a undrafted gem.. We can use all picks on O-line men, a LB and maybe FS?

That is, of course unless a good RB prospect fell down to our late pick - I would not oppose to this move..

This is vintage Shannahan, hes always got a backfield full of backs, everyone of these guys will be on the team at the start of the season.....

Broncos 2005 carried Mark Anderson, Tatum Bell,& Ron Dayne
2006/07 Mike Bell, Tatum Bell,Travis Henry & Selvin Young

They used to be bright stars, now they have burned out into red dwarf stars.
