Right because you always prepare to lose your 32million dollar player by obtaining an 8 year veteran who has been with 7 different teams.

ok, but I can agree he is depth, way deep, but you can't equate depth too preparing for AH's departure. This guy is camp fodder, who maybe shines a little, or maybe with AH beside him at end he can succeed. But this signing has 0 impact on whether the team is in a position, both talent- and depth- wise, to release, trade, or otherwise lose a player of AH's caliber.

The subject of Green was the last thing mentioned during La Canfora's article about a possible AH trade and they might get him as insurance if they did trade AH. Check out the story on my AH Trade Possible thread. Green was mentioned. Of course it( the Green acquisition) might just be for depth purposes, but you never know.
